To play on Fish server, simply get connected to the server and click "Create New Account" button from within b.net! Use the new iccup+fish launcher released here to get connected!

Hi, I've gotten a few questions about this so I wanted to post a quick guide for the navigation of the website. (Click the pictures to get a bigger shot).

At the top, there is the ranking page (circled in red) and the report center page (circled in green). On the left side is where you click for the fish server registry files so that fish server will show up on your gateways in starcraft.
If you click the rankings button, you get to a page like this:
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/z7pPR.png) On the left, (circled in yellow) are melee ranking, ladder ranking and points ranking. Most people are probably interested in the middle one.
Alternatively, you can just click this link: http://www.fishbattle.net/rank_ladder If you want to search for rankings, just scroll through the numbers [1] [2] [3] etc.

The report system is different from iccup from what I can tell. I might be wrong but it seems that if your opponent is caught intentionally disconnecting, then it is a 30 day ip ban for him from the server. However, you do not get your ladder points.
For reporting, you need to type in /g enter during the game and take a screenshot. This shows a little blurb that basically proves that you are playing a ladder game on fish server (as opposed to west or brain or something like that). If you can't, then drop him and do /g and catch the "opponent has dropped from the game" line in the screen. Also take a screenshot of the drop screen. If you lose connection to server (say if the server reset at 4pm) you can't do /g. Then click the Report Center button, (7th from the left at the top, circled in green in the above picture).
You need to be logged in and your password must have numbers as well as letters (you can change it on the server and it will be changed on the website in a few minutes).
You get to this page:
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/O2bVv.png) Click the 2nd icon circled in blue (basically report here)
You get to a page that looks like this:

On the scrolldown menu, simply put, it's "classification" "cursing" "hacks" "disconnect" "complain against admin" "other"
Click the 4th one for disconnect and for opponent id, put their id for title, just copy paste this: 상대가 디스했습니다
For description put this: 제가 이기는 상황에서 상대가 디스걸었습니다. 감사합니다.
Click the file upload button (circled in black) and upload the replay of the game. Also upload the two screenshots that you saved.
Also if you're curious, the numbers near the top of the screen say that there are 32,810 people playing in 8,089 games on fish server at the moment.

Fantastic! Thanks so much for this!

I faced one disconnect when the game was already pretty laggy and I beat him pretty hard, suddenly he disconnected;d

Nice guide also i have one little question, say you have 1000 points and your looking for an opponent, what's the minimum number of points he should have so if you lose you dont lose too much points?
|
I just try to stay within 50 points so between 950 and 1050.

over 100 games on fish, never faced only 1 disc and that was non-ladder
I must be really unlucky then, because I've been dropped a ton of times. I'd say at least 6-7 times out of the 100ish ladder games I've played. They're usually the 'invincible' drop too where you still can't drop them after the countdown ends.

Thanks for the guide. I started playing on Fish recently.

You are the man! Thank you!

I took a quick look through the disc center (they're all public and you can scroll through them) and it looks like they get about 400 reports a day (I would estimate this to be at least 10 times the volume of iccup). When I reported a disc about a month ago, I got a reply within a day and it looks like there's a 2-3 day wait at the moment which is frankly quite impressive.
Koreans call that cheat infinite disc. I haven't seen it yet but it seems to be relatively common.
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/FID8E.png) The thing that says fish server 2011 08 etc. is what you get from typing /g. This guy turned on chatting during lag screen and the picture says that the opponent is using an artificial disc so I'm assuming that is the infinite disconnect. I guess this chat is a feature of a launcher, a quick search tells me that you do ctrl-L to turn off lag screen; ctrl-a for apm; ctrl-t to see game time; ctrl-g to get chat screen but I haven't tried this yet so if someone gets a chance, please post here. According to the report, it looks like the opponent got 30 day ip ban and his account locked. I looked at another complaint and the window said that the user was cheating and the punishment was a 100 day ip ban and a locked account.

Will /g work if I can't read korean ingame? I mean I can see korean characters on fish server but not while playing the game. I just get some ascii simbols.

Very nice guide, thank you. Fish server is appealing to me more and more.
Btw, could you do a quick guide on how to get OPs for a channel? From what I could gather with google translate, it seems you have to apply for some kind of clan service to get your channel approved. Even if you have account with same name as channel, you still don't have control over that channel with that account.

Same... 7 ladder games, 2 discs.

Maybe they disc more vs us, the foreigners, because they know there's a high chance we're not capable of reporting them (UNTIL NOW AHAHAHA!!! beware!)

So I'm trying to report right now, but at the screen it prompts you to login? so any info on how to do that and how to create an account I guess?

where i can get the map pack of maps in korean? because all of them bans me because i dont have map T_T

The discers make Fish server about as lame as it was 5 years ago when I last played it. My first game on the server today was this protoss who builtgates right outside of my base on python (so he was probably maphacking) and discing when it failed.
Thanks for the guide. It's unfortunate that we don't get points as an incentive for reporting the discers.

hi sorry, i didn't see the questions until now. the login is the same as the one you use on the server one problem i had was that mine had no numbers in the password but if you want to report, you need a password with letters and numbers. you can change it on the server and it will update the site shortly (not sure how long but i believe it was within 10 minutes of the change on the server)
i don't have the maps with me, but i will try to get some maps and host them on some uploading server. the maps are usually just fighting spirit or python. some people use iccup maps so if you host iccup fighting spirit 1.3, that should be fine
there's no personal incentive for reporting but it does creates a disincentive for people to disconnect so if you can get satisfaction from that...

Thank you! Time to play Fish while iCCup is down.
