Sweet, OGN is broadcasting SC2 Prelims for the WCG starting September

Chances are Gom allowed WCG, for good reasons, broadcasting rights to the SC2 games. Since OGN broadcasts WCG in Korea, this is why OGN is broadcasting SC2. I tweeted about it since it wasn't stated on one of the articles I read despite other WCG games being stated to do so. Then I read a TIG article that stated it
You guys are reading FARRRRR too much into this. This is just a part of WCG. OGN can't do anything other than that since GOM has exclusive rights to broadcasting SC2 for 2 more years.
Is this the start of Sc2 contents on OGN or just because they have had WCG broadcast rights for years ?

oh cool he did get confirmation.

I thought Gretech (i.e. GOM) has all rights to SC2 broadcasting in Korea. Either I am mistaken or something has changed.

probably sub licensed it to OGN
THIS IS THE BIGGEST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN TO SC2 IN KOREA THE WORLD!

I think it is just because they are tied in with WCG.

oh wow, this is pretty huge

They would have to get Samsung's approval, though. And OGN is infinitely more capable of providing good coverage.

OGN has an official stream on their website.

But but, do they have english commentary? All the english bw casts that I've watched are done by the guys who restream.
|
I wonder if Nanashin and Co would restream this.
|
i hope ogn gets english casters, they should know about the foreign scene and how we all want to watch tastetosis cast wcg korea qualifiers
|
I think that it may just be the WCG thing. The alternative would probably have been no SC2 in Korea, so GOM may be trying to reach a new audience through the BW watchers.
