For 15 minutes Chris 'HuK' Loranger was looked at the gleaming yellow little man, waited for his next Battle.net opponent. Because his rating is too high, (and he tried to find games on the NA server) the search was unsuccessful. Dario 'TLO' Wünsch helped him out and lent his account to the Canadian. Blizzard is not pleased with that.
Because HuK used the account of his team member TLOs even in the Custom Games , during his Germany trip, and in his first official games of the HomeStoryCup, Blizzard intervenes. During the practice game for HuK vs Stephano Dennis 'TaKe' Gehlen received a phone call from Marc Olbertz, Community manager of Blizzard.
In this conversation he threatened that, in case of further Account-Sharing between TLO and HuK, Blizzard will close the account of TheLittleOne. Particularly he did not understand that custom games were played with that account. HuK did not seem to bother to change the account after his practice match for the game against Stephano. Now this could have consequences.

(I find it quite funny to see that Blizzard bothers and even calling Dennis 'TaKe' Gehlen just to stop account sharing. In my opinion If they would add lan, a global ladder or fix the ladder for top players that might not happen so often.)
Edit: This it not supposed to be another blizzard hate thread, I distance myself from my comments above. i see how blizzard does not like account sharing to be shown on a stream and i think contacting the player is much better than just blindly banning accounts. Whether account sharing is bannable or not should not be part of the thread.

Well, at least they're following E-Sports?
This is pretty ridiculous.
It kinda makes sense, considering that the ladder is used SUPPOSEDLY for the basis of tourney invites and whatnot, but then again... Is it really gonna make that much of a difference in their ratings? And why would Huk bother practicing on EU if his MMR was too high to find a match (which is kind of a signal "hey... no one left to beat out here!")
I wondered what they were tweeting about.
This sucks for 100% of the people involved.
That is fucking retarded, who cares which account you use provided you are there and give permission? If I let a family member or friend play on my account, in my presence and for whatever reason, why should Blizz care?
What? Is this suppose to be a joke from Blizzard? Countless people are sharing their account now and just because Huk and TLO are well-known so they got punished for that? Come on Blizzard, get your shit together and actually do something useful. @Kaonis: Because Huk is in EU rightnow, its natural for him to practice in EU server for the best ping possible.

Huk properly wanted to ladder a bit to warm up a bit, or kill time while waiting for his matches.

If they do this, there will be some kind of community revolt. You can't expect pros to shell out 60*4 or whatever to get all the regions so that they can play. The ball is in Blizzard's court for this one, and they have a pretty small margin of error.

Classic Blizzard, Always blaming someone else instead of them self.
Wow, thats just pathetic.
Haha Blizzard is ridiculous.
They need to fucking start working on SC2, and stop spying like little motherfucking idiots.
WOW im so pissed .

Well at least Blizzard has it's priorities in the right place....
I'm still trying to figure out where pointlessly antagonizing fans fits into Blizzard's business strategy.
I can't believe they would do this. What a mess..... Blizzard don't act stupid.... please!
Do you really want LAN?
In all seriousness, I can understand why Blizzard is doing this, it sends a very clear message that account sharing is not accepted. Not even for pros, which should deter players from participating in account sharing. Props to blizz for standing behind their policy I guess...
What the hell? Since when has account sharing been a problem? Guess Blizzard will ban my wow playing roommate too since I borrowed his silver account so I could try out Zerg -_-
Well Blizzard have to send a message that this is against the rules at any level. Personaly I find the rules silly in the first place but if they are to enforce them doing it like this is the way to go.
Wow this is.... just wow.
So dumb..... I mean really what could the issue possibly be with this?
Classic Blizzard to enforce the Terms of Use the players agreed on when installing the game.
