He saw 3 drones mining mins in Calm nat, which should mean that there are 7-9 on mins in main, which should mean he had enough stuff to hold until spire. The problem was that Calm knew the ovie would come to the nat first, hence he pulled those drones while having 4 or so in the main. The builds don't really matter that much here, one player was teching and dronning, while the other was massing lings with slower tech. And lings are stronger than drones in a stand up fight.

Therefore, he knew the 12h player would likely try to capitalize on that advantage, get spire ASAP, and pressure with lings to stall until that advantage materializes. The choice to mass lings was a very risky one, but it paid off quite well. Zero got too greedy, because he was ahead and STILL chose to be greedy in making more drones WITHOUT making a sunken. But even with a Sunken it might've been hard to hold, but he could've potentially minimized losses to stall till Mutas. And the usual reaction for someone who went 12p vs 12h in order he could take advantage of the BO is to scout, to see if the only threat of mass lings is being done. Otherwise 12p wins all day

Would the overlord not normally be over the main to check the spire timing / ling count? yea... maybe he pulled them out already to gain time for their life from the 'mutas' that would come... Mind vs Hydra.. let's hope we actually see a good game tonight!
