As you may noticed there was a flower bug on LT. They added more flowers but removed them from the start location into creep radius. So you cant immediatley tell where your zerg buddy is located - after all it was a kinda fast reaction by Blizzard.

So fellow Zergs you can unblock that map once again if you like to.

yeah but you could only see mules when a unit of yours is standing next to them and you don't have mules in the first minutes of the game.

yeah it was annoying for different reasons. the flowers let you know exactly where a zerg spawned, but the mules let you know when the terran expoed, so i can see it both ways =P

Zerg's dont block the map because of flowers, there are other reasons Zergs downvote that map. Good to see that they fixed it though.

This reminds of the old fog of war previously revealed on BW maps where it would show ooze there if they spawned there.

My question is, do the flowers/other terrain still become affected in fog of war if a zerg expands to other places on the map, or has it completely been fixed?

thats actually true i had it blocked before the flower bug thingy and its still blocked after the flower thingy is fixed - the main reason its blocked is because the map is one huge chockepoint other reasons are the cliff and that 6tanks are enough to secure 5 expos on that map.
There are 4 maps i want to veto, DQ,JB,LT,Steppes(unveto´d) and that is just the worst of the worst. I have steppes in the mappool because its not really a bad map if you manage to survive the first 10 minutes.
There are more bad maps imo its easier to list the good and fair ones - xel naga caverns.

But thats just my 2200 diamond zerg point of view (didnt play since the new masters league thingy)

This never happened the only reason it shows on the start of the game is because you start with the creep fully spread so as the map loads there are no flowers since it has been killed. The fog only updates as to what it sees but in this case the map loads without the flowers when a zerg spawned there so it showed.

Map is garbage now without them flowers!

On a more serious note, obviously great fix and i think it came fast enough. I hope this fix also applies to Jungle basin and other Jungleish maps? Yes i know there are only 2 spawn sites on JB but for those who play Random might want to keep their random race secret as long as possible

Depending on what level you play you could estimate when the mules would drop, using the ingame timer. Common build orders and all that.

If I'm not mistaken (happened to me the other day in a ZvP) Chrono boost can be seen through fog when it is cast. I was moving an ovie towards a main at the beginning of a match, glanced ahead and saw the animation....

Yup the same thing happened on the GSL (sry can't remember the match), but it's true, you can see the Chrono boost lightning through the fog. Works only when the overlord is in close proximity to the nexus (maybe the same distance the sound is triggered).
