I'm not quite sure whether the topic was already discussed here, but as I couldn't find a topic about it I'd like to let you guys know that there'll be a new 1on1 league with most of Europe's best payers and a prizepool of 6.000$ : the Black Dragon League
Participants of the Black Dragon League (Season 1)
Goody, DeMuslim, BratOK, White-Ra, Socke, Mana, Dimaga, Abver, LaLush, Kas, Satiini, Strelok[, Naama, Naniwa, elfi
Replays: http://www.dragon-league.com/en/replays Website: http://www.dragon-league.com/en/start/ Ranking: http://www.dragon-league.com/en/statics/ranking Matchdays: http://www.dragon-league.com/en/statics/matchdays
Kind regards, Khaldor
Update 1: Kas qualified for the Black Dragon League, winning the first qualification tournament Update 2: Satiini qualified for the Black Dragon League, winning the second tournament Update 3: With Strelok, another Terran-Player qualified by winning one of the qualification tournaments Update 4: Due to personal reasons TLO declined the invitation for the BDL. It's not decided yet how his spot will be filled Update 5: Naniwa won the fourth qualification tournament Update 6: Naama was able to defeat Fury and Delphi in Best-of-5 matches and therefore also secures himself a spot in the Black Dragon League Update 7: Nightend turned out to be the superior player, facing Paranoid and Lucifron in the second group. As a result the protoss-player will also be a participant of the first season of the BDL

When is this League starting?
|
First week of january. Until the the rest of the players will be determined by a couple of qualification tournaments.
Hm... the title of the thread is kinda wrong btw. The league itself won't be exclusively european. Within the second season there'll probably also a couple of other continent's players be able to participate.
|
Nice invites ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)
going produce some good matches
|
hm the competition for the remaining spots will be tight since there are quite a few remaining good players like
Morrow / Naama / Hasuobs / Sjow / Darkforce / Tarson / Nightend / Sarens / Adel
|
It will be tough yeah.. ^^ Nice news =)
|
u re a litte too harsh on the players on ur stream its kinda arrogant saying all these from the observers view and wtf is sjow
|
Have all the invitees accepted? Really excited to see more games from BratOK.
I think the invite list was chosen extremely well. I except to see Tarson, Hasuobs, and Darkforce qualify in the coming weeks. Kas was another obvious one as well. Glad to see he qualified.
|
Thanks for letting me know about this, always appreciate ways to get more replays of pros to copy off of ^_^
|
Well if you want to criticise my stream then you should probably adress this in my livestream-thread (link) as this is definitely the wrong topic for doing so.
Morrow didn't want to participate in the league as doesn't feel strong enough to compete at the moment. He might enter one of the qualification tournaments though.
Cheers, Khaldor
@Corwin: all expect TheLittleOne already accepted the invite. TLO didn't respond yet.

In answer to your question, SjoW is a well known player on Dignitas. He does very well in the weekly tournaments that Europe seems to have a lot of.

Nice lineup! A little tip for the website though: I couldn't find the term "Starcraft 2" anywhere on the frontpage. Not only does this make it unclear what the website is about for people that just randomly stumble upon it, but it will also make it so that the website won't really show up on Google for the correct search-terms.

I think he was asking "where" and not "who" Sjow is. Sjow was planning to go to Korea in order to participate in the GSL. We talked about whether it'd be possible for him to attend the schedule of the league and as he was not sure about it we didn't invite him directly.
His plans changed though and he will attend the qualifiers in order to participate in the league. He already took part in the last tournament but was eliminated by Naama.
|
Sjow isn't going to Korea anymore?
|
how is red not in this ?
|
I saw in the rules that the higher ranked player starts vetoing, and then it alternates. I'm pretty sure the player vetoing last has the advantage here. Was this intended?
|
Should invite SjoW, he is doing quite well.

Could you please read the other answers bevor you post? The topic Sjow has already been adressed. As far as I know Sjow never actually went to korea but is still in Europe and will stay in Europe as well.

I was wondering how did madfrog get the invite over darkforce? I understand TLO and Dimaga invites, but not this one.

You could disagree with a lot of the choices there, but I don't think that's really appropriate as it's their choice who to invite and who not - and you can qualify if you want to.
