I don't have much to say about your maps (my sentiments have been expressed by others in prior threads), but I do think it'd be nice to say more about them than "map image + basic premise + testers wanted". Give us more to work with; tell us why you made the map the way you did, provide one of those topographical map analyzer images, talk about potential racial imbalances... stuff like that.

So what I don't get: You declare in most of the threads that you want people to divert from the standart play, that you want to bring diversity into the games by adding completely new concepts that create very different game dynamics. Although you make things like only 1 gas per base, very far expansions, tight paths, huge maps with only few expansions, destructible rocks that keep you from scouting / rushing and some more things. If you ask me, those things don't really scream for diversity. You just push the player in a certain direction. Like "Go for a 1base-tier1 rush because you couldn't hold the nat anyway, also you don't have the gas to tech up." The weirdest thing was that you said that players would have to "sneak" an additional base for more gas so they can tech up. How please can I "sneak" a base when everyone knows that it's the only way to get a good tier3 amry? I really like seeing new things and it's good to experiment, sometimes you will find something completely awesome. But you can't just make maps with only experiments. Design a more "standart" map and integrate 2 or 3 new things and see how it turns out. Also it doesn't get better if you take everything people critizised in the last thread and put it in the next map. I mean I can see that you intentionally use every non-standart thing possible you can find and that is probably just not gonna work out too well because sometimes, some of the standart things are standart because they are proved and tested. Also your attitude isn't gonna bring you far in mapping. If you don't want to accept criticism (obviously not all the critics are justified, sometimes people don't know what they're talking about ![]() ![]() Just take the things experienced mapmakers/players say, let it sink in and try to find a way between their suggestions and your own style. I'm sure with your creative mind you could make some awesome maps. Oh and btw., please stop with your "glhf on other maps"- attitude because that's exactly what everyone will do. Cheers

i like it anyway: i feel changing a map is not my forte zats all producing new ones that people can redo at will, in their own way and make me famous in the process ..zat sounds about right... (they are downloadable on tl) i like doing them and reading insightful comments about them zats what forums are for no? how bout this: should i subtitle all my map post with a : "tell me what you like and i'll tell you who you are" ? i can produce "balanced" (or whatever you want to call it) maps for several types of play because there exists a multitude of plays i feel that the blizz ladder map (ze 2 geyser main for instance) is not top notch in the creativity departement, the tools are there but it falls short, those "everything but the standard" are a plus to diversify everything in the game... granted i've only tested them for bugs against cps, but i rage at the thought of you players missing out on the potential fun of these destructible or rich minerals (come to think of it, my fun) or in short, widening the range of experimentations the more the merrier i'll grind at it until people test the maps and like them... by producing new ones .. seems fair? and thank u for reading and posting

People should just stop writing any comments to your maps at all. Seriously On November 10 2010 10:57 baskerville wrote: how bout this: should i subtitle all my map post with a : "tell me what you like and i'll tell you who you are" ? I was just about to write another well thought out text to tell you what a troll you are and that you'd rather stop posting new maps and wasting people's time and nerves. And no, being the most annoying mapmaker is most certainly not gonna make your maps played more. glhf playing your maps
