Today we are joined by greatfall who is a new show-contributer/co-host. He’s been playing SC since vanilla back in 1997 and was ranked 477 on b.net back in the day. He was so into SC1 that he had to take a semester off which is something that we can all relate too. Greatfall has been playing SC2 since back in the beta and was the creator of the famous Day[9] launch party thread (which he attended) that was a featured post on TeamLiquid. He’s the inventor of the Burning Tide method of beating 5 insane AI opponents which can be found on the Single Player forums on TL as well.
Greatfall is a wealth of knowledge and experience and has already added a ton to the depth of the show. I am very excited that he agreed to join the show and look forward to many more episodes in the future!
In this episode (14) we have a minor patch discussion, talk about the TSL games last weekend and briefly discuss the players who have been announced for NASL.
Everyone follow me on twitter. http://twitter.com/StarCrackShow I’m currently at war with VTgaming.
(Next episode on the docket is a special edition I’ve coined “The Girls of StarCraft 2″ which will feature interviews by Anna Prosser (iNcontroL’s girlfriend), Leah Jackson (from G4), Kelly Milkies (GOM TV), Briar Bates (Machine’s sister) and more!) Be sure to DL the next one!
Welcome to the long overdue StarCrack Podcast official Team Liquid Thread. StarCrack began in August 2010 having been inspired by excellent shows by Tristan Johnson, DJ Wheat & Chill, Garrett Weinzierl & Kyle Fergusson, JP McDaniel, Day9, and several others. I am your host, The Monarch. I'm a passionate StarCraft 2/Everything Blizzard fan especially the competitive SC2 scene.
Show info:
The purpose of this show is purely entertainment. We talk about our personal experiences with StarCraft 2 as well as discuss our observations from the competitive global SC2 scene. From time to time we invite Pro Gamers, Casters, and the occasional adult film star on the show to add flavor. Our show also includes several original StarCraft themed songs and parodies. You'll get honest opinions, entertaining discussions, and a few riskay topics. We leave things like patch notes and strategic tutorials to the dozen or so other podcasts, all of whom cover them very well. We hope you enjoy!

Dannick -
![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/images/Ticon_small.png)
Co-creator/co-host and proud representative of the Bronze League. As we discuss the current happenings in the game, Dannick chimes in with his Bronze League perspectives. Held back primarily by his equipment (laptop player), Dannick's main contributions include website administration, keeping the Monarch on topic and being the self appointed official spokes person for The Bronze League.
Skaff -
![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/images/Ticon_small.png)
Show contributor and legacy StarCraft BW player, Skaff is our current highest ranking Diamond league player. Skaff (who plays under a different SC2 handle) is a Computer Science college student who adds diversity to the show, being an actual second generation Asian-American. Skaff threatened to quit the show several times when we considered only having porn stars on each week to talk StarCraft. He's been instrumental in steering the show back to it's original roots and is an invaluable member of the team.
Heimlich -
![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/images/Zicon_small.png)
Arguably our most talented player, Heimlich is a mid-level Diamond player with a black heart and George W. Bush take no prisoners attitude. He is also a legacy ICCUP BW player who is the most knowledgeable pro scene show contributor. Heimlich's idols include iNcontroL and IdrA who's professional career he's been following for the better part of a decade. If any members of the StarCrack podcast have the potential to play on a competitive-tournament level, it's Heimlich. We're glad to have him on the show as he commonly contributes historical data related to pro-gamers.
Any questions, comments, and suggestions can be emailed to me directly at Monarch.Starcrack@gmail.com. Friend me on Facebook for up to the minute updates. We sincerely hope you enjoy the show

10.29.10 -- StarCrack - Episode 9 - Monarch goes to Blizzcon
+ Show Spoiler +
This episode was recorded Monday Oct 25th, the day after I returned home from Blizzcon . The Monarch tells intimate details about his trip to Blizzcon from the moment he woke up on Thursday the 21st till he got back home to Florida at midnight on the Sunday. The stories include having lunch 10 feet away from Boxer and not knowing it, meeting Artosis, JP McDaniel, TLO, Huk, White-Ra, NexGenius, Day9, Ghostcrawler, Chris Metzen, Michael Morhaime, Mia Rose, Ali Hillis and more. I spent 90% of my time at Blizzcon at the RTS stage watching the StarCraft 2 matches and had TLO sit right next to me during the grand finals. Other than a few technical hiccups, the tournament was amazing. Watching Boxer and Fruit Dealer in action, surrounded by thousands of adoring fans, was another highlight. After partying pretty much non-stop the entire weekend and getting very little sleep, I do my best to explain how great the trip was.
