This little interview was taken by cyberfight.ru after the triumph of Androide at WCG2004 Russia Preliminary. Now it is available in english. Enjoy.

-------------------------------

cyberfight: Hi, could you please introduce yourself (name/age/gender/location)?
androide: Kukhianidze Andrei/19/Male/Moscow, Russia

cyberfight: How long have you been playing Starcraft:Broodwar? When did you take part in WCG Russia Preliminary at first?
androide: I've been playing 4 years since 2000. WCG 2002 was my first national preliminaries.

cyberfight: Tell us about your prominent achievements. What did you reach by participating at previous WCG tourneys?
androide: I was Top2 WCG 2002 RP (It was very hard), won Russian "Perm Period Tourney", was first at Arbalet CUP.

cyberfight: What was the most memorable moment at WCG2002? Or could you just share your impressions about it?
androide: It's definitely success of Russians in Quake3 and Counter Strike

cyberfight: What changes would you like to see in future WCG national events? Is there anything that you don?t like in organizational aspect?
androide: I think, everything was going at quite decent level. I can only guess how it will look like in future.

cyberfight: Which team/clan you are in? Please, tell us about it.
androide: Actually there?re two teams ("PGC and 3D" PGC - Pro Gamers Club, 3D - Danger Destruction Death). 3D were the first team I heard about and I was taken to it afterward. And PGC - it's just kinda cool :D

cyberfight: How could you evaluate you outcomes at last offline tourneys including Moscow preliminaries?
androide: I believe I do better while playing LAN than by internet =)

cyberfight: Where and how long have you been training before WCG RU 2004. What's your skill now?
androide: I keep myself in good shape I was playing WEST, EUROPE, NeoGame-i.

cyberfight: It's interesting to know your plans on WCG 2004 Grand Final. What are you planning to do after all?
androide: I don't like to guess. We'll see...

cyberfight: Why are you still giving your sympathy for Starcraft as a game, in particular?
androide: I like it (it's kinda chess but with the subject). Besides I play it not so very bad ^^.

cyberfight: Why don't you interested in Warcraft3, for example? What games do you like to watch.
androide: I've never liked W3. However, I like Quake3 very much (I used to play it against bots).

cyberfight: Is it hard to play in general? Are you feeling nervous before and during your matches?
androide: It's hard always, and not only in the moments when I'm playing. Yes, I'm human indeed. Anyway I can concentrate regardless of anything (I'm quite experienced).

cyberfight: Have you been surprised anyhow during the tourney? What could you say about regional preliminaries(including Moscow's).
androide: There was no surprises at all. Wins exist either for most skilled or most trained. Unfortunately, (orky)Ghost was unable to pass. He's very promising player. I'm very sorry about him.

cyberfight: Your comments concerning final brackets at WCG RU 2004. Whether it was lucky for you or not?
androide: I fell on the strongest TvT rivals. By the way, this matchup hit me off the rails last year. It was year of my misfortune.

cyberfight: Do you more inclined to non-typical tactics? Or you prefer time-proved or Korean-proved style?
androide: It depends of my mood. If I full of energy, I don't care how to win and by what means, I just will win at any level (including Pro).

cyberfight: You were playing random at Moscow preliminaries and beat Asmodey 3:0. What race are you going to pick next time?
androide: Only terran. I'll be serious.

cyberfight: Could you share your opinion about current WCG Maps? Do you think they're balanced?
androide: Yes. Everything is balanced, no matter what people say. I've been playing against many players like ogogo (WCG 2003 winner) and I'm sure they're not facing any problems on this maps. I should clarify one moment - if you're really want to do something - you'll do it. The same thing happen both with maps and a race you're going to use. If someone wishes to win most of all - he will win. Although, everyone is able to justify his actions...

cyberfight: Who is supposed to be more uncomfortable opponent for you?
androide: Undoubtedly, it's me. I can fight against everybody only after I overcome myself. It has always been true. Right mood is higher than everything for me.

cyberfight: What could you say about evolution Starcraft in Russia. Who's more promising among russian players now?
androide: Starcraft is developing. But actually, I don't care much about it I know a lot of perspective players - everything they need is to summon theirs strengths.

cyberfight: Do you think if it's possible to raise the popularity of Starcraft to the former peaks? What should be undertaken?
androide: I don't know. You may ask our orient brothers - Koreans.

cyberfight: Who is idol of "ideal" progamer? Is there someone whose style you're trying to reproduce?
androide: No, I don't copy anybody. I prefer my own style. There's the only person (gamer) who deserves my respect. He's Lim Yo Hwan - SlayerS_`Boxer` (no comments).

cyberfight: Your top 5 greatest progamers of all time?
androide: SlayerS_`BoxeR`, [NC]?YellOw, TheMarine, [ReD]NaDa, XellOs[yG].

cyberfight: I don't know if you read the last Bruce interview. We were talking about money stimulus. Is it true, that you don't care about it? I see you at offline tourneys very seldom. You could have come and won a lot of money.
androide: Yes, but you're right - I don't care about money.

cyberfight: How do you position yourself? You're more mannered or skilled? What is more important?
androide: I think manners are not so important in the Internet. Though I'm well-mannered in real life

cyberfight: International StarCraft community evaluates you losses with a little scepsis. They think you're losing more and more and stopped to show decent results. For example, let's review your last defeat in "Face To Face" matches against Zelotito. What's the source of such thoughts according to your opinion? Some people consider that you're not playing using your maximum resources? Is it true?
androide: I don't want to show off. SC is just hobby for me - I enjoy playing it. I think there're no people outside Korea who can beat me on LAN. When I'm playing over internet, I have no special stimulus to win. I know my scopes and it seems funny for me when someone thought that he's stronger if he'd won me Internet matches is no more than practice and it has no much sense. I don't care whether it "Face to Face" or something else. Usually I use 20-50% of my abilities while practicing.

cyberfight: You've won WCG 2004 Russia and you're going to the Grand Final. Let's imagine. In case of your success there, you will be awarded with a progamer's contract. Will you be pleased of rellocation to Korea and making a progamer career there, representing Russia?
androide: Let's imagine =). I wanted it so much. But I won't be able ... it's definitely not my way.

cyberfight: What takes your interest beside Starcraft. Have you a hobby? Probably girlfriend? Are you studying or having a job? What are your plans for the future?

androide: I attend fitness room. Study. And I'm not supposed to talk about my future.

cyberfight: Your devices?
androide: Mouse: Logitech Mini Wheel Mouse Optical,
Keyboard: Logitech Navigator White
Mouse Pad: fUnc sUrface

cyberfight: How you may characterize Top8 WCG Russia players?

androide:
2 place - vWeb.Advocate[S2] - very interesting player, can do good both in BW and War3 (how? it's puzzle for me)

3 place - RiF)EX - 300 APM fellow. JERKKKK (i'm joking). His skill is quite moderate. He reminds me myself several yers ago. He definitely has a great future.

4 place - vWeb.Phellan[S2] - He's good friend of mine. Unfortunately we won't be able to go USA together. He had to train himself more.

5 place - r095us.Asmodey - Sergey SenSU No Comments

6 place - DieForMiF - Very good TvT user. He's the strongest one I met on my brackets-way.

7 place - RiF)Blade - The only thing I know - he's beer lover.

8 place - MiG.Scout - The guy who could make 500 games a month easily ^ ^

cyberfight: How much time required to keep a good shape?
androide: It depends of the tourney's level. My rate is 5 hours per ordinary day.

cyberfight: Could you tell us about you training secrets? How's the training process going?
androide: I'm trying to encounter with the best players. I'm making bias on quality in my games, not the quantity.

cyberfight: How do you think, gaming devices you're using are important?
androide: Yes, as in every discipline. Once being on the holidays I met professional ping-pong player. He was not be able to show us masterclass because I suggested him to use my ordinary ping-pong racket.

cyberfight: What is most valuable personal quality? (from the point of view of human and player) Who are your favorite sparring partners?
androide: Humanity is the most valuable people's quality. From the player's position - I don't care - it's just a game. I prefer to play with intelligent-APM-300-users. I indulge myself while playing against such people.

cyberfight: What is the best place for WCG Finals? USA or Korea? Where would you like to travel more?
androide: RUSSIA : MOSCOW ~ Sweet HOME O.O >`.`<

cyberfight: Please advise something to Starcraft beginners. How do they reach your level? What's the gosu's secret?
androide: As I stated above, the most important thing is desire, there're no impossible things and .. Practice GOGO~~ AND FiGHTiNG! Fighting! hOhO ^ ^

cyberfight: Traditional shout outs?
androide: Privet vsem! Greetings to everybody!

cyberfight: Thank you for the time. Good luck to you.
androide: Thank you too ~ Good Luck~ See You Next TiME @.@ ByE ByE~

It's a fucking translation. Holy shit, you can't judge him about his personality because of a bad translation.

His approach to gaming is admirable. Confident, believes you can achieve anything, doesn't seem to get angry when lossing.

One of my favourites for this years WCG final in San Francisco.

"I don't copy anybody. There's the only person who deserves my respect."

" there're no people outside Korea who can beat me on LAN"

I only used "20-50% of my abilities" when I lost to Zelotito in F2F

"it seems funny for me when someone thought that he's stronger if he'd won me"
