Purpose: To determine the number of hits required for one unit to kill another. This is great for general informative purposes in addition to theorycrafting which upgrades are more valuable than others.
Current Version: 13 Date: March 24, 2011

For those with older versions of Excel: http://min.us/mvjhrP#1
Online Link* (not fully tested): http://tiny.cc/UpgradeSpreadsheet13
*Note: You will not be able to update this spreadsheet with your own upgrade values. If you would like to test your own values, you'll need to go to File->Make a copy...
Changes in version 13: Updated for Patch 1.3.0 Infestor attack speed adjusted to 4 seconds. Infestor damage increased by +30% vs. armored units.
How to Use: Depending on which race you want to attack, go to the appropriate tab (Attacking Protoss, Attacking Terran, or Attacking Zerg). The units listed on the left are the attackers while the units at the top are the defenders. The numbers within the graphs are the number of hits required for the attacker to kill the defender.

Looks good! Thanks for sharing this

It's nice. I would suggest you to upload it to gDocs and publish it so anyone can use it without having to download it.

Very interesting. Day[9] was talking about that in one of his most recents dailies. Thank you very much

Nice, apparently DTs can kill banshees in 4 hits. Now we know.
|
Very cool. Are the numbers for carriers correct, though? According to the spreadsheet in the DPS page they do twice as much as a BC.

Same with Banelings. Damn, why didn't I do this earlier?!
lol...it's interesting to know, but maybe modify it to point out when one unit actually can't attack another? No biggie though...except for the people unaware that banelings and dt's and such can't fly...

The quick and easy fix would be to log into Google docs, go to file, then select Make a copy...
This will may a copy of the spreadsheet to your Google account so that you can update the upgrade levels yourself.

It takes 275 attacks for a zergling to kill a battlecruiser.
You learn something new every day.

This is awesome! I wish there was some sort of simulator that could figure out how many of unit A it would take to kill however many of unit B. But hey, this is still so helpful.
