Action
You beat the defending champion.
-There was STX Master’s Cup today, but the team told me to just practice for the individual league, so I was confident, and I thought I could win. I used to be unconfident at ZvZ, so I kept practicing it, and now I’m confident in it.
Your team was AK’ed at the STX Cup, did it affect you?
-I could’ve not played, but I felt confident so I played. I lost, and the team got AKed, so my pride got hurt a bit.
You got the first win of the Ro16.
-I still haven’t left the game yet; still nervous. My hands were shaking. I thought I was going to lose in the middle. After the game, I left, and heard a big cheer, and then my whole body started shaking [laugh] It really is a different stage.
You successfully defended Effort’s Zergling attack.
-I know Effort likes to use Zerglings, and today was no different. I knew if I defended it I would be at an advantage, and after that Id id well.
You used your lings better than Effort today.
-I usually like Zerglings, and I didn’t know I could use lings like this in ZvZ. After I saw other people’s games I learned of this strategy, so I focused and practiced it. I understand now that Zerglings are crucial in ZvZ.
You still have to play very strong vZ players.
-Before the season started I wasn’t so ambitious, but after winning the first game, I can be a bit greedy. I lost to Bisu a lot, so I’m a bit worried, but now I can focus on individual leagues, so I feel like I can play well.
Do you feel the team trust you a lot?
-Yes [laugh] Everytime I need practice the team would help me a lot, and help me focus on the individual league.
Last words?
-A lot of fans came to the OSL right after the STX Cup, thanks to them a lot. I’ll prepare well for the next game too.

Hydra
You got your first win in t he OSL Ro16.
-The Ro16 hasn’t ended yet, so I can’t afford to be too happy. Still a lot of games left. But I’m still glad to have a good beginning.
It’s your first time on the OSL Ro16 stage, were you nervous?
-I had a vacation recently, had a good break, so I was focused, and my practice was high-yield.
Thoughts on today’s game?
-I played according to my own feelings. I made 2 groups of Zerglings, and saw that the opponent didn’t scout, so I made more. As a whole, it seems even the most simple opening can still win easily.
You defended the Zealot-Dragoon attack.
-I was just waiting for it. I was expanding, so if I defended that, it would be advantageous.
What did you do on vacation?
-I went to the beach with friends [laugh] My home is in Cheonan, right after I went home, I went to the beach. My middle school and high school friends are going to the military soon, so they were waiting for me to come home on vacation. It was a good plan, but then it rained, which is disappointing.
Your next opponent is Jaedong.
-He’s a very good player. Since the group selection ended I was looking forward to the game with Jaedong. I lost disappointingly in the MSL Ro16, this time I must win, so I’ll focus and prepare.
Last words?
-Thanks to nbs-hyung, movie-hyung, and snow-hyung for helping me practice.

Hiya
Your first win in the Ro16.
-I wanted to be on this stage for a long time, so I was nervous after I got here. I was worried if it would affect me. It’s fortunate that I got a good beginning.
Thoughts on the group?
-I feel this is a hard group. I think, as a progamer, I hope to make it out of the group because it’s not an easy one. Because of this mentality I was able to win.
Because of OSL, did you not get to go on vacation?
-Unfortunately I didn’t get to take a break, but I feel this is a rare opportunity. Getting a good result is more important than relaxing.
You kept your promise and did a ceremony.
-It was a trap card with a “fishing” meaning, from YuGiOh. There’s a related video that the fans put on the café, so I chose it.
Your fancafe seems to be attracting more and more people.
-A lot of people indeed. After it passed 400 people, it suddenly skyrocketed to over 900, and over 4 pages of comments. I had other ceremonies too, like putting on a motorcycle helmet and holding the gun from the MSL ceremony [laugh] But I didn’t have a lot of time to prepare, so I had to choose a simpler ceremony. I want to thank the café’s manager who got me this card.
Thoughts on today’s game?
-After the initial Zerglings came, I didn’t think I’d lose. I’ve seen many of these openings. After I saw there were about 2 groups of Zerglings and realized it didn’t hurt me, I thought I could win. The longer it went it the better it was for me. I was unlucky, but if I didn’t make any control errors I believed I could win.
Your next opponent is Zero.
-There’s also STX Cup that day, I feel like I have to play well on both fronts. If I can’t rest this season anyways, I’ll just practice hard. I’ll try to get even better results. I also remember I lost to Zero a lot, everyone else in this group is ahead of me in head-to-head, so I need to win.
Last words?
-Because of the ceremony, I was worried I would lose in the game, but luckily I won, and gave a gift to the fans. This week, I’ll go give Cuter who gave me this idea a chicken.

Stork
You successfully won the first game in the Ro16.
-The recent OSLs it seems I always open with a loss. Looking back, practicing with a loss put on a lot of pressure. I’m glad I can start with a win this time, now I can prepare for the later games with ease.
You used Carriers.
-I only had Monday and Tuesday to practice, not a lot of time, and I played four games earlier today, so I had a warmup. It seems fantasy spent a lot of effort preparing for SPL, so I just used the strategy I used in the Ro36.
Fantasy had constant Vulture harass.
-My build emphasizes minerals more than gas, so I made a lot of Probes early, so I wasn’t too affected.
It was a dangerous game.
-I used Observers to scout, and tried my best to stall, and it seemed to work well. It got me time to build up Carriers. After I had enough Carriers, it was easy. The opponent played conservatively, so I wasn’t impeded too much.
You had an all-kill at the STX Cup, so you had 5 wins today.
-It’s the first time I did something like this besides Prelims. It feels a bit awkward to have such a good performance only after SPL ended [laugh] But there are more meaningful games later, so I hope to get a good result.
What have you been doing recently?
-The usual. I finished all of the One Piece anime, and the manga [laugh] I watched a lot of movies too, and I go to the gym a lot. It seems like I haven’t done much [laugh]
Your next opponent is Kal.
-The next map is Grand Line, and I haven’t played PvP on it yet. Kal needs to prepare for SPL, so I think I’ll win if I can hold on to any mistakes he has. I want to do well on the individual leagues [laugh]
Last words?
-Thanks to everyone who helped me practice.
