This is a request for inspirational Z replays. I searched like an idiot for forum rules, but I didn't find them. So I hope the [R] is a correct use here.
The only play I can get to work is FE, hold on early game. Then hydra or roach and whatever other support unit I need based on opponents tech choice.
Its a style of play I do not really like. I loved to see Sens one base muta but it rarely works for me anymore.
Past week I tried many different things out but not found something that works as good as what I described above. P and T have all these awesome choices in most MU's and some BO's that forces the opponent to respond in some way. I guess I could switch race but I just love the Z as a faction and their lore and I wanna play them because of that.
What I want is replays of some inspirational Z v X that can give me the spark for Z back and willingness to try some new stuff out. Standard Idra play I've seen much off so something a bit different and up to date ofc would be awesome.
Or can you only play Z one way at the moment considering how the meta game is?
I actually had some really interesting ZvZ lately so I want mostly ZvP and ZvT
Yeah I downloaded most in that thread. But there are many replays to go through and most Z is fairly common stuff. I'd like some Z games that are a bit different.
I'm pretty sure 1 base zerg, at least in zvp/zvt, is very weak in this state of the game. in zvp most protoss FE, which will put you significantly behind due to the fact that early lings/roaches/banelings are so easy to hold off with zeals/cannons and mutas take forever to get out. in zvt it's a little better, but core hellion -> expo will give you trouble since roach rushes are still easy to defend due to hellion kiting and subsequent maruaders, and muta rushes are easy to defend because 2 thors come out so quickly with that build.
If you go to our replay database you can easily search by race matchup and a bunch of other parameters. We have a pretty good collection of v0.19 and 0.20 replays from diamond level players and recent tournamnets that you can look through.
Anything but the FE hold on, get roach, hydra, get third play. =)

Broodlords rule. Try to head for those things. Lots of fun.. I've lost to them more than once. You'll need your hydras to defend them from air.
I've found ling-baneling to be pretty annoying against Infantry builds.
Also, use infestors a lot. Casting Fungal Growth is a micro task that can give you a great way to damage units- kill them. Especially anything in the Air trying to run (dropships-Vikings)... it will root them and you can wipe them out.
IDK if you can still cast while burrowed, but one of my friends used the infested terran on a huge tank line, casting them with like 5 infestors RIGHT next to the tanks... the splash damage killed 3/4 of the tanks and it was LOL.
Nothing wrong with FE - you can FE, hold on , and still be creative. Hydra/roach isn't even necessary vs T, you can do a lot of muta play vs T. Watch some The Little One reps, he has lots of cute tactics that are really impressive looking, which is what it sounds like what you want.
Yeah I wanna point out that I personally just have gotten stuck in FE roach or hydra. Theres nothing wrong with it at all. But I'd like some new perspectives. I tried a bunch of stuff myself but nothing else seems to click for me. Thats why I want replays of something different so I can make my play more fun for myself. Does that make sense?

Yeah I never go Roach/hydra, I suck with it, I cannot seem to get a good concave in large battles, and my overall positioning lacks. I like lings/banelings and Mutas/broodlords -even infestors, they are VERY useful with NP- because of the way I use them and their maneuverability on all maps.
Speedlings are obviously very quick, and baneling mines and rushes while marines target air, is very strong (at least in the games Ive played). So I enjoy using them.
I will be the first to admit, I have massive holes in my game play, and I am by no means a 'top tier' player. But I feel I have potential : ) I hope you guys enjoy the replays.
OP, look up TLO's zerg games. I don't think he has EVER gone roach/hydra (in a casted tournament game at least) and I've only seen him lose as zerg maybe, twice.
He has some beautiful games with mass speedlings, infestors, banelings, burrow micro, all sorts of fun stuff.
