Hello, I'm making this thread as i don't see anything on first page and if i search diamond league i get a lot of results that's not relevant to this. So my question is: I just went 5-0 in placement and got placed into plat league and in patch 14 there was diamond on top of plat and i see nothing from blizz saying they made everything patch 12 again.

They have chaged the placement matches. With 5-0 you cannot get to Diamond any more...

they made it so you have to work your way into diamond. plat is the highest league you can get placed into. you dont simply get into diamond by going 5-0

Well perhaps people could post in here when they do get promoted from platinum up to diamond to see what kind of record/rating was needed for it to happen.

So far I have played 25 games, and am 20-5 w/ 282 points, and haven't been promoted. so it definitely isn't super easy.

I was in diamond before this, now got into gold after messing up a bit in placement matches.

So far lost a couple matches even in gold so I think they definitely made Diamond a lot harder to get, leaving a bunch of decent players cutting each other's throats in Plat and Gold.

Great move by Blizzard, I think you should have to earn the Diamond place, because it's entirely possible to win 5 placement matches without being very good if you were pitted against weaker opponents. Hopefully the diamond league is smaller overall too.

if it depends on who the system picks as your opponent, then its a bloody bad system, 5-0 diamond for one player and diamond for another one? could happen that it will put you even lower then, huh?

15-2 in plat atm and no advance to diamond, out of curiosity, are we still 100% sure that diamond is still an available division? :\
