[SPL] Samsung KHAN vs STX SouL

Samsung KHAN

The once Protoss powerhouse has fallen from its past grace. Which is to be expected. This is basically exactly the opposite of the "Age of the Protoss", so you would expect a team that lays all its weight onto the shoulders of Protoss players would begin to falter. And that is exactly what is happening. Samsung KHAN is in a bad period right now, but it is always darkest before the dawn. And the dawn is coming. Flash lost 2 matches last night and some may say that it was a fluke. And you know what? I agree. But a fluke is what Flash used to be known for stopping. Jaedong was always a strong strong player. But people never referred to him as bonjwa because he always lost matches he shouldn't have. And it looks like that is what is beginning to happen to Flash. What I mean by all of this is, I see a wave of change on the horizon. Protoss will rise back to its former glory, and Stork will be the one leading the revival. Expect Stork to bird shit up, and expect some strong play from JangBi as well. great is also in good form, in my opinion.

STX SouL

STX SouL is a scary team to play right now. They are what people refer to as "deep". And by deep, they have 3 players who are pretty damn scary. And those 3 players are Kal, Calm, and Shuttle. While I wouldn't consider these players as S-Class, especially Kal after his upset at the hands of EffOrt, they are definitely the ones who are looking to challenge the players in the S-Class. They are strong, deep team. Which makes them even more powerful in the SPL's current match format. Their only obvious weakness is that they don't have a strong Terran to play. Hwasin I suppose... but I think he is a little busy with some... other... suspicious things. Overall, STX SouL is, in my opinion, the team to beat besides KT Rolster and maybe Woongjin Stars. And they would outshine KT Rolster by far if KT Rolster wasn't ahead by miles from the previous rounds. Samsung KHAN has their hands full tonight. It'll also be interesting to see if Kal can really hold the title as top Protoss with Stork looking him face to face.

There is a distinct lack of Terran in these 2 teams rosters. Which means, statistically speaking, Zerg will be running rampant. Thus I have decided this map will definitely be a ZvP. I just can't decide if it will be great vs. Shuttle, Calm vs. JangBi... too many Protoss! Or we could see a ZvZ in the form of great vs. Calm. But I don't think that STX SouL wants to risk their Zerg in a ZvZ, and I don't think that either teams want to risk their strongest Protoss here.

Juni < Judgment Day > Calm

I don't expect Samsung KHAN to risk one of their two Protoss stars here either. This map is just too Zergy in the presence of no Terran. So I expect them to try and snipe the imminent appearance of Calm on this map. I just can't decide between the two Zergs. I guess Juni if I HAD to choose (which I do in these predictions, I guess lol) but it could very well be Chavi. Neither of them have particularly strong ZvZ... but I believe they have a better chance than JangBi would against Calm.

Stork < Match Point > Kal

The two titans of Protoss will clash, and it will be a glorious battle. My money is on Stork. Sorry Kal, I know your PvP is beast... but we are talking about the Dinotoss here. Maybe next time.

JangBi < Fighting Spirit > hero

Here is where JangBi will make his appearance. hero or Bogus will come out on the opposite end of the spectrum, but I expect JangBi to steamroll over either one. Even though both Bogus and hero have decent vP's, in my opinion.

Stork < Polaris Rhapsody > Kal

Or maybe not. A lot of PvP's on this map, and it is a perfect battleground for some revenge. Dinotoss politely declines said revenge in the form of some epic storms, reaver micro, whatever needs to happen to get the job done.
