Haha, blocking the third makes a 3 hatch spire build very awkward; you don't want to build the hatchery somewhere else since you're not going to get any more hatcheries (and therefore the ability mine from your third) for a while.

Except that Shavi isn't going lair at all, but rather 3 hatch hydra --> 4 hatch hydra, which should demolish Shuttle's double stargates.

Chavi couldn't see there wasn't a pylon behind the cannons. There's no reason he'd think only one pylons was powering them.
