The SagiGG launcher does display this in replays which is the only reason I'm using it over SB (for replays) for now. Has anyone been able to get consistent 2v2 or 3v3 BGH games? I am going to try to get my friends to install but I feel like if they don't see immediate games they will forever be unwilling to try again >.< I wish Blizzard would just pay the freaking SB devs to redo battle.net... or direct people to SB.

I don't know if there is any scenario without Blizzard's involvement to redirect casuals to SB. Yeah I recently played a 3v3 BGH vs someone who asked me how to properly wall as terran and I told him to check out liquipedia and teamliquid and he was like "teamliquid???"........ there's definitely still people playing BW without knowledge of the basics (this site!) and it will be hard to get that player base to ever switch...

Hmm, I'm not sure if you mean something else, but there's a Selection panel in replays (hotkey W): ![]() On October 20 2026 18:25 Vasoline73 wrote: Has anyone been able to get consistent 2v2 or 3v3 BGH games? Finally, the "match up" is a little too big and would it be useful to display # of workers there as well next to supply to easier distinguish that. I'm sure you can take more ideas from the observer layouts used in SC2 pro games casting like ESL... etc.

I see a lot of stuff jammed in the bottom middle part of the screen like selection, unit production, and control groups. I wonder if it would be better to have a drop down for all of these and the player can select which view they want, automatically would display at top left side. I'm sure you can take more ideas from the observer layouts used in SC2 pro games casting like ESL... etc. We'll have some adjustments to the UI based on feedback in the coming days, I do think we have some constraints that people don't really keep in mind when telling us how they want things adjusted. Mainly, we are trying to make something that works well for both 1v1 *and* larger games, which most of the things you mentioned just don't try to handle at all (and really can't). This might mean we special-case 1v1's or something, not totally sure yet, but we will make some adjustments. We also have some work in progress to make it possible drag the panels around if you don't like their default positioning.

Regarding the UI, especially for the replay viewer, there are a couple of things that could be enhanced from my point of view. - Please do not remove alt-qq to quit a game. Alt q and e are just adding complexity for nothing. 28 years of alt-qq that habit is hard coded in our brain don't mess with that ^^. - Is there a way to have the statistics screen after the game with the option to watch the replay instead of coming back to SB and relaunching the game immediately after? Because it feels like going back and forth for nothing. - The upgrade icons during replay are way too small; it is something we check often. - Most important information for replays are time, pop, workers count, upgrades, mineral-gas count, and as a plus build orders timing. - When you go to the bottom of the map, you see space. Why? ^^ Overall I think it is better not to change what is already a habit in the original interface; we won't all go full-time on SB so if I have to remember that on SB that information is on the right then on Bnet this information is on the left every-time I switch, it makes it very painful. I am only talking about the in-game UI.

I am only talking about the in-game UI. - Alt+Q Q still works fine, we just send all the various "quit the game" shortcuts to the same dialog because they don't have a different effect in SB (there's no menu to quit back to, etc.). The button shows E as the hotkey but you can press any of the hotkeys you are used to. There is a bug in the current version that makes the dialog not accept modifier keys (e.g. Alt+Q Alt+Q doesn't work) but this is fixed in the next version. - Stats screen stuff is still WIP - Like I said above, we're still making tweaks here based on feedback. I have been devoting literally all of my free time this week to working on things but there is a lot to do, so please be patient ![]() - We think showing space at the bottom of the map is preferable to Blizzard's "solution" (your spectator UI can hide buildings and units and you have to hide the UI completely to see them) Generally I do not think it is a good idea to chain ourselves to the limitations of bnet if we can do things better. Bnet is in a state of disrepair and our goal should be building a better platform for people to always go to, in a way that can be sustained for the long-term. This state where people switch back and forth is temporary.

MMR bot been running for at least 6 years btw: https://tl.net/forum/brood-war/558574-bgh-auto-balance-http-bghmmreu The only way to get casuals is to have a sticky on /r/starcraft, which is where new players go. tl.net is just too niche these days. Unfortunately, /r/starcraft only promotes the smallest of small SC2 tournaments and the users are hostile against everything broodwar because they are threatened by it given that sc2 is in terminal decline. They think actively shittalking broodwar, saying there is no playerbase and steering newcomers towards playing sc2 instead of bw somehow will save their game. It doesn't help that bw players discuss everything on here instead of /r/starcraft for a very good reason. Maybe adding daily proleague bots with prize money for /r/starcraft would show that the future is and will always be BW. I see much more BW content these days there, but it is drowned out by unfunny shitty memes and low quality SC2 slop. Reclaiming /r/starcraft should be a priority.
