GG town it's gonna be rough. My advice is to not settle on one target when scumhunting because this stifles discussion which is exactly what the mafia wants. The game started out great for me... but the last few days have been pretty rough. There were several times in D1 and D2 when I gave up hope and decided I was going to take a break from the game, but my mind kept returning to the game and I kept being drawn back to my computer to refresh the tl mafia forum. I stayed up for over 24 hours leading up to the end of D1 and when shady flipped scum I was sort of in a state of shock. I only managed to sleep for about 4 hours and woke up to start posting, and when I saw that hardly anyone else was interested in discussion I got pretty mad. Look at my filter and you can see that I've put the most time into the game and what really irritates me is that there are several people who don't seem to care at all about participating. I think some of you did not even read the whole thread, it looked like people were just skimming pages and reading parts that either mention themselves or scumreads they were talking about. And good job lurkers, you really messed things up. Next game I will be seriously pushing for a lurker lynch policy. Also shame on you guys that voted at the start of D2 then went afk. VERY BAD play. everyone GLHF and come join me in the next newbie game if you get killed in time ps. crazy coincidence on the ochrow/thrawn post timing right? | ||

Gentle, mild-mannered, and thoughtful VisceraEyes was playing poker in the saloon bar with his buddies. But, the atmosphere was amiss. People all around were eyeing him suspiciously. VisceraEyes was sadly oblivious to this. He'd at least tried to do his part for town, he thought. He felt somehow responsible for sending austinmcc upstairs from the saloon the previous night, as he had ended up dead as a dodo. The night wore on, the beer was consumed, but the people around him grew more and more fidgety. "You're a bloody Bel Monte!" someone blurted out at VisceraEyes. VisceraEyes looked confused. "Why would you think that? I've tried my best to search for the intruders, I have always been present in discussions and explained my motives for everything!" The rest of the poker table started snarling. VisceraEyes didn't know how this had turned ugly so quickly. He started to back out of his chair. "Not so fast!" VisceraEyes panicked, and turned to run out of the saloon. But alas, two steps from the door, the drunken cowards behind him put a bullet through the back of his head. With all that being said, I'm going to take a quick reassessment of YourHarry's filter before the voting deadline (in other words, in the upcoming hour). Just wanted to clarify. The bolded part about Shady wasn't calling him out. It was in my case that I put that I was bolding parts YH had omitted when making his first two "cases" to justify his votes. Unfortunately I fucked up the formatting and bolded the entire quote so that was me showing the parts he left out in EBWOP2. And my overarching themes for thinking he's scum are his repeated misdirection through quotes which serve no purpose to the town, his 6 page filter with no cases he's stuck behind. Every time he votes off of a "case" he conveniently finds something he's overlooked which makes it so he isn't tied to the vote ("It only showed Y was scum if X is town and I'm not sure about X now" and excuses along those lines). He's "caught" two breadcrumbs that the people in question denied were breadcrumbs at all to base cases off of. This provides scum Harry another way to back out of a read that could show he has knowledge he shouldn't. Obviously everyone isn't perfect but I see no town motive behind the great majority of his posts. | ||

Wow I had the time wrong. I thought it was a 9EST lynch not 8.  And this is why at the start of D2 I encouraged people to not just lynch the obvious target. Gonna read over the filters and see if we can salvage this. Unless we get a medic save tonight we're down to 5/3 which means we're in MYLO tomorrow. | ||

I'm quite upset about day 2. First thing's first: My "association case" can be thrown out the window. Some things to note: Like 90% of the conversation was dominated by only a small number of people. We have many lurkers among us right now, who are my current focus. Especially those who voted Thrawn at the beginning of the day, then afked all the way through the end. Along those lines: Regarding Golbat: This is a guy whose play I've seen. Darthpunk, I'd really like to hear your read on this guy. He's been playing much differently from how he played in XXII. At first I considered it an over-reaction to getting lynched day one in that game. But, there's quotes like this: On August 18 2012 15:59 Golbat wrote: -snip- Apologies. I didn't mean to come off as defensive, just that I'm not intentionally lurking, just not posting uselessly. in my last game I died before I could make a big contribution, and I just want to help catch a scum before I die this game. Now is the time to step it up I guess. He's like "please just keep me alive." I see scum-motivation in this statement. And what's been his "big contribution?" AFKing for the last day of the voting process, when his opinions and contributions could be used the most... So much for stepping up, I guess... ##FoS: Golbat I know people hate discussing suspects and such at night (my read, anyway, from how scarce discussion was on night one). But if our plan is to derp around all night, argue suspects for 24 hours the next day, then derp around until the last hour of the next, we may as well concede now.
