YIN - Q. Did you feel worried because of how good “Good Day” did?
IU – not that I was worried, but I half-gave up since it’ll be tough doing better than “Good Day” But thanks for giving us so much support~
YIN – Q what about your UGH after 2nd verse, is that your voice?
IU – Yes that is my voice, this is showing frustration and they used it right away.
YIN – yes I hear that a lot ^^

YIN – Q In this album you have a song called “L’amant”, this was your first try in the jazz genre, any other genre of song you would like to attempt?
IU – There’s a lot, I want to try everything, Heep Hawp [so cute], Reggae, yea everything ^^
YIN – Inside the album there are drawing by you inside, I’m looking at the drawings right now…
IU – YIN unni is so honest, she probably thinks it is really bad and trying to just skip over this subject :<
YIN – Ah nonono that’s not true, the reason why is… when the writers for the radio showed me, I was surprised “really? IU drew that?”
IU – Ayyyy
YIN – I’ll show you my drawing skills on my homepage; did you guys all know IU’s hands are very small? Like how does IU grab those mikes with those small hands? You do much stuff with them ^^.
YIN – when did you draw this?
IU – I drew it in early AMs
YIN – so early at home? Alone? Did you think you would get compliments for this?
IU – yes please do compliment me ^^.
YIN – You did so well, aigo so pretty cute.



YIN – Q. The point where I started liking IU, was seeing her play guitar, she’s the same age as me and I wonder how good she is at expressing emotion through her singing, so recently I’m taking up guitar and practicing Lee Moon Sae – Past Love (“옛 사랑”), how much do you have to play guitar to get to your(IU) level?
IU – Oh in the case of “Past Love”, there aren’t difficult chords, about a month? If you practice hard for about a month, you will be able to do that song.
YIN – Ohh me too?
IU – Yes

YIN – Q. Looking at the album storybook, it seems IU’s drawing skills are so good (IU - mmhmmhmm!) did you decide to draw those by yourself?
IU – ahh originally it was the company’s choice, they just gave me a sketchbook and sign pens and just do it. At first I told them no, but eventually I started it and near the end it became so much fun ^^.
YIN – Who’s the character in the drawing?
IU – oh those drawings? To match each song, I drew 13 pictures.
YIN – Ahh really… Q. If that’s true, who’s the blondie in the Korean album last page?
IU – ahh blondie, it’s the red-haired girl’s boyfriend. Yeah they’re just a pair.
YIN – it’s not your pair?
IU – ahh nono

YIN – Ahh (frustrated) ahh whatever, I’ll draw IU later today

YIN – Q. IU, your high notes go up so easily, I love your songs this time.
IU – That’s true, thank you very much.
YIN – There’s not much to IU’s high note skills, there is no method, just… she’s naturally.. her neck, there’s something inside her neck.
YIN – Q. Please tell us about YIN’s singing skills.
IU – Wow her singing skills are so impressive, it’s as good as my drawing skills.
YIN – OH!!!! *laughter*
IU – Why are you laughing! I’m trying my best to compliment you!
YIN – Ahh really, I think IU can draw SO GOOD, if she didn’t sing she could have become an artist *laughter*
IU – Yes I think we’re so good
YIN – yes I agree, I sing good, and IU drawing good ^^

YIN – *looking at drawing* Ahh but really IU, why are the facial outlines so ugly? It makes it look like there’s facial hair all over my forehead to my chin (angry face)
IU – Unni, do you know anything about ‘retouchie’? Retouchinggg, it’s because it was meant for retouching
YIN – oh really? Ahh.. still hard to tell
IU – how can you call that hair? It’s retouching I tell you

1st story sent in by listener. [T/N – Oppa is a word younger girls address guys older than her]
There is a cousin that’s 17 years younger than me, I’ve seen her grow up from when she was a baby, to talk, start walking. So instead of calling her a dongsaeng (younger sibling/person), she feels like a daughter to me, small father and small mother, they’re both busy making a living so there is nobody to play with her. So I took care of her at home. Even up until dinner she would follow me everywhere and say to me, “Oppa play with me~” and more “Oppa read me a book!” and even more next to me “Oppa Oppa! Don’t go home and sleep next to me”, and I let that be for a while. Even when I make small movements, “Oppa oppa where are you going?! Don’t forget to take me with youuuu >.<” So that made me annoyed a little x.x. Even for fun the rest of my family would ask her in jest, who do you want to get married to when you’re older? Sojin said, “Oppa oppa!, I am going to get married to SeungNyun-oppa!”.

I could not go for a long time while I was busy preparing to graduate from college, and one day I dropped by the house to see Sojin, now she doesn’t even react to me so I asked her “Sojin-ah, oppa’s here and you don’t say hello? You changed”.
Sojin -“Oh me? I got a boyfriend”. Oh this cuteness, is this how a father feels during these times? My heart felt down, just entered school and saying she has a boyfriend, my first dating was at 22. And kids nowadays start when they’re 8 or even before.

In a sad mood I asked her, “Sojin-ah, you said you would marry me?”
Sojin – “That’s what you say when you’re younger”.
Guy - “But you’re still young, how can you get a boyfriend already!”
Sojin – “Why are you like this, so childish~”
Guy – “But what about you oppa, I only have Sojin-ee”
Sojin – “Oppa you said you like IU, marry IU ”
Now this relationship is nothing more or less than an oppa, with a gloomy mind I said to her
Guy – “Sojin-ah, do you know this? ……..IU, will never marry this oppa”


YIN – IU you were so funny, (she read Sojin quotes), you were either cute, or a very troublesome child ^^.
YIN – Q. After hearing so much of YIN unni’s baby acting, it was so different~
IU – Unni’s acting… is so fake! Kids don’t act like that
YIN – Q. IU-unni, your acting wasn’t a baby’s voice but your own voice…?
IU – Oh nonono, this is a baby’s voice, this is weird...
YIN – Q. The story (Kim Seung Nyun) sender’s proposal, IU’s response?
IU – One time.. should we see each other? I’ll have to see him, and then make up my mind.
(After a Q asking about IU to say his name, IU then suddenly yells out, “I’ll marry Ho-Jun oppa” x2 then precedes to say, IU – I’m going crazy x.x)

IU – What’s really impressive about YIN unni is that, she saw my side view and drew my front view.

IU – I saw her drawing with so much passion, saw her drawing thinking it would be side, but it was front view, so impressive.

YIN – Q. Trying to restrain my laughter, I got lots of nasty looks from my hyungs in the library.
YIN – Omo, they’re not listening right now? Wow what in the world.

2nd story sent in by listener –

Hello, I am mother raising a 5 year old daughter. In the lower floor under our house, there’s a girl that’s the same age as my daughter. Her name is MooKyung-ee, she had a troubled look on her face. Why would such a young kid have such a serious look, so I asked her “MooKyung-ah, is there a problem? Why do you look so sad?”

So Mookyung-ee replied with tears forming around her eyes, “Mom.. Mom is… she’s is going to transform!”

I didn’t understand her, so I asked her mother. It seemed like she had a pimple on her nose. After looking at the red nose Mookyung-ee asked her mom, “Mom why is your nose red?” Mom replied jokingly, “mm! Maybe I’m becoming Rudolph? My nose is getting redder and redder”.

Mookyung – “Does that mean you get antlers too?”
Her Mom – “Of course, I will soon get antlers and my eyes will slowly get bigger! If I become Rudolph, will you still like me?”
Mookyung – “Does that mean I get lots of presents?”
Her Mom – “Nope, if I become Rudolph, I have to help Santa Claus and help deliver presents to other kids, there might be no time to see you”.
Mookyung – “Does that mean you don’t get to see me?”
Her Mom – “Because I’m busy, that could happen”
Mookyung – “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” *cry cry* [IU sound terror T_T, ouch my ears]
Her Mom – “Ohh don’t cry, I’ll stay next to you since I haven’t transformed yet”
Mookyung – *crying* “How do I stop mom from transforming into Rudolph?”
Her Mom – “Hmm you can do that by writing letters good, doing your homework well, and brushing your teeth by yourself, and go to Kindergarten well. If you do that I won’t transform into Rudolph”
Mookyung – “… okay, I’ll try my best now”

This mother using this situation with half joke, and half teaching her daughter, she didn’t know that her daughter would take this so seriously. I didn’t know how to solve her troubles, but my child figured it out well for her. This is their conversation.

Mookyung – “What will happen if my mom becomes Rudolph and becomes too busy to see me T.T?”
Daughter – “It’s okay, (IU lol so much at YIN’s voice), your mom is so fat she can’t fly, there is no such thing as a fat Rudolph, and you don’t to worry anymore. [T/N: LOL Kids are so smart]

Since it’s near Christmas, it’s when children listen to us parents the most. My daughter, Mookyung-ee, and all the children, do lots of nice things and hope you all get lots of presents~. Yayyyy.


YIN – Ahh my stomach hurts, why are they so cute?
IU – Really me too, I could read more stories
YIN – Can you come by each Thursday?
IU – Sure ^^.

IU – Really, me too, it’s been a long time I’ve been so comfortable in radio.
