Page 26 and onwards I will issue at least two day bans to anyone who clearly has not read the original topic post and the explanations contained therein. He was barred access to the event days before the actual event took place and used some random diamond player his account to try and get in anyway.

Leave the racial bias at the door while you are at it as well pretty please.

I don't think Artosis, or sixjax (evoli) has anything to say about it.. It's not the first time someone has done this, and yeah, he deserves to lose respect IF it's proven true... But this isn't the worst backlash he has gotten from the community (think sixjax recruitment) so it shouldn't affect anything. People are just overreacting. And the site will load, be patient, it loaded for me after a minute.. -_-

I was traveling from San Francisco back home when this happened. When I came home I talked to everyone involved. I've already talked to Kelly Milkies, another admin, and Juan about it.

All and all, relatively small potatoes. I hope their events go with out a hitch in the future, and I'm sorry that Juan caused a hiccup in what was supposed to be a fun event for the folks of the oft neglected SEA server.

Copy and paste of the thread from sc2sea

+ Show Spoiler +
This is regarding Dox's $500 tournament.

Dox is pretty busy admining the tournament so ill just help him make this post for everyone wondering what happened. Basically sixjaxmajor didn't clarify with dox beforehand and just suddenly showed up today asking dox if he could play and dox said no it was only open to SEA residents. Major obviously not happy with the decision continued to abuse dox for the next 45 mins while he busy was hosting the 200+ person tournament. Dox then attached a screenshot of the rules as proof.

Major then said "fair enough" and logged off, only to proceed to use another SEA players account who had registered for the tournament - sayfT aka "gerlan.au". He then continued to smurf in the tournament which arose the suspicions of mOOnGLaDe who was casting the game as the Terran play was of a very high level and certainly not of the diamond calibre actual sayfT's actual account showed. He continued to deny all accusations and play in the tournament until finally the undeniable rofl-worthy evidence surfaced.

Remember the issue is not the "clarity of the the rules" as yes, i agree that it wasn't that clear too in the OPs. It is more of how after clarifying, Dox had specifically told him he was not allowed to play and yet he went on to smurf on another account in order to do so.

Evidence:

Major was silly enough to not delete this "Account information swap" from his stream.

Majors jtv backlog stream - http://www.justin.tv/sixjaxterran/b/290278944

Credit: Kamikazedurrrp from the stream chat posted this link

Previous evidence i had were identical hotkeys/apm from looking at replays of sixjax vs TLO, and also credit to edge who sent me a replay of the real sayft whom he played recently in the masters cup who had very different hotkeys/apm from the "sayft" who played today. But that really doesn't matter anymore because of the 100% evidence shown above.

Conclusion:

I would love to see some invited pros to our tournaments for instance the invited HuK in the TA invitational was awesome. Major is certainly a top terran who's game play i have alot of respect for. His behaviour and attitude however are totally unacceptable and not expected from a pro player on a professional team - not only does it reflect badly on him but the organisation he represents. If the organiser kindly hosted a tournament out of his own pocket and his own time, it is his rules so please respect them. Do not make your own interpretation of the rules, especially after the organiser has spelt it out directly to you and informed you that you cannot play.

Repercussions:

sixjax management will be notified of his behaviour by Dox.
I'm undecided if a tl post should be made. ill leave that up to Dox.
I'm also undecided of the punishment (site ban/future tournament ban etc) to be given to gerlan.au at the moment but he certainly betrayed the SEA community by helping a foreigner break the rules of one of our own community self-funded tournaments. He can argue his case below, will consider feedback and evaluate.
We take rules and smurfing very seriously and we will continue to monitor smurfs in our other tournaments like the BSG and GPD regularly to ensure a fair playing environment for the benefit of our players.

Will delete if sc2sea people want people directed to the site but its horribly slow

Regardless of the tournament rules, Blizzard does not allow account sharing anyway. Breaking Blizzard TOS is probably the bigger issue.

Rules where not that clear, it said in kellys post that anyone with account could enter so w/e really...

Their own fault if they dont stand the same rules everywhere and have such a huge difference in both rule posted..

Edit: kinda bad that he entered after getting a No, but still not checking the rules before posting is kinda bad....

EDIT2:What dont you do for moneeeyyyy :-)

Yeah, true. I can see why he would do it though, it would feel like a rather unfair ruling that he wasn't allowed to play with the confusion on the rules for entry. Not a great thing to do, but its not too terrible..

Edit: I guess it is rather stupid for a professional player, representing a team.

He was playing a tournament that he isn't allowed to enter and playing using another person's name(the real name registered in the Blizzard account page), maybe you're as dumb as he is to think that this is ok.

Link worked fine for me...

Its just disappointing more than anything. He was told by an admin that he couldn't play and then did anyways. Just disrespectful and dumb. Really, using a diamond level player's account to smurf on? Really?

Major, you are a professional sc2 player, start acting professional please.

so you get ready for a $500 tournament and then you're told you can't play?, i dunno i'd be mad too cuz he most likely already spent some time getting ready for that tournament etc., both sides are wrong here imo, bad tournament organization is bad

perhaps the players should...you know...check if they are eligible to play in the tournament BEFORE training for it or signing up.

"Rules weren't clear" is not a valid excuse for smurfing. When you have to smurf, you already know you're not qualified. This is willful bad intent.

Even if the rules weren't clear, the admin made them clear. He puts up the money for his tournament, his rules.

Anyone that says "rules unclear", read the thread.

It's been said several times that Major contacted the tourney organizers BEFORE the tournament and it was explained to him at length why he couldn't join. It was clarified clearly for him, but still broke the rules.

There is no defense for that, it is 100 percent douche-baggery.

I dont think this is 'smurfing in tournament'.
He plays in no-name's account. So technically he only participated the tournament anonymously.

I'm not too surprised by this. He has been known to be immature back in the BW days. He is a great player nonetheless.
