Because taking away religion would not have the deleterious effect you imagine. Humans do not need religion to act morally. If you think that then you need to do some reading and get to know the world a little better. It would possibly upset some situations, it would create weird blanks in others, it might fuck up some countries, but there is no way 95% of people would suddenly say 'GREAT now I can rape children!' because what is the thing that makes most of us not commit crimes? Fear of being caught by the authorities and going to jail. Not fear that God will look down on us. | ||
