As for Soyeon's being sick and jeopardizing T-ara, she'll either get better in a week or they'll drug her up so hard she can perform anyway, they don't stop for anything. Like when Jiyeon tore a muscle or something and performed anyway, CCM don't let you stop for shit. edit- people post too fast here, but I think people understand which post I was responding to. | ||

Anything related to these games, including strategy, tournaments, and professional players of said games should be up for discussion. My problem with ssf is with the insistent worship (read: not discussion) of SNSD, and there's where I draw parallels between the whole "FOR THE GOOD OF ESPORTS" and TL; that is, anything that's even slightly negative about either subject is instantly drowned in ad hominems and anger. to simply say "if you don't like it there's no reason to visit the forums" implies a blind and ignorant point of view. You act like everybody has the same musical taste as you. Once again, I'll say it loud and clear, there are people who actually like The Boys. I consider myself a hardcore sone, and even then I don't like the song as much as you insist all hardcore sones do. There is a reason why every fan forum is the same, they don't allow you to dislike anything, and if you do you are flamed instantly. Fan forums are created for the reason to only be a fan, not talk shit about your favorite group. If you're disappointed with anything in those places you should literally just keep it to yourself. You will not change peoples opinions and you will only end up wasting your time. I don't go around telling people how much I think the boys sucks in soshified, but I can here because people actually bother to read and submit actual arguments. | ||

Andy and I are not talking about running into forums and "shitting" on the group. We're talking about having an actual discussion. Like if I walked into TL, what you're saying is that I'd be saying "FUCK ESPORTS STARCRAFT SUCKS PLAY COD LOLLLLL". The type of criticism that we're talking about is walking into TL and saying "I like Starcraft but I don't like how the GSL is run, or how there's friction between the BW and SC2 communities, etc.". You can be CRITICAL without "shitting on" something. Fan forums are created for discussion about something you're a fan of, not only to post adoring praise of anything that has to do with it. If that were true TL would just be about how awesome BW is and how balanced SCII is and how all the players, personalities, etc. are saints. It's not, but the discussion on Soshified is the SNSD equivalent of what I described. As for "every fan forum being the same", I frequented Karaholic when I was a huge Hara fanboy and people there were critical all the time, said they didn't like certain looks on the girls or didn't like a particular song, without a flamewar. There were threads with actual discussion (fun facts, music reviews that were actually reviews and not YO NEW SHIT IS OUT BUY IT ITS AWESOME YEAHHHHHH). Sure there were the adoring "post about how much you love X here", and "Nicole hair- long or short?", but there was also good discussion, something that I unfortunately couldn't find in my 50 posts on SSF. | ||
