(I happen to use the same groupings too). Then I hit the observer tab and I became a sad sad panda. (I still suck) ![]()

+ Show Spoiler + So, hi Stephano. Welcome in Paris. We are very pleased to have you in this tournament. Can you tell us anything ? You participated in the first tournament. What were your impressions on that first tournament ? The first edition ? It was really interesting for a french event. It was more or less the first one to bring foreign players. There was grubby and... I don't remember who else. Bigs Bigs. In fact he is not really a foreigner, but still ! Yes he is. Yeah, if you want. It was really interesting. The crowd was really close. We could feel the... What could we say ? The atmoshpere ? The atmosphere ! The good atmosphere, that's what I was looking for. Also, the food was good. We could eat with the viewers. We were close to each others. It was something like the Homestory cup atmosphere. It went rather bad for me. I finished at third place if I recall. I will try to do better for this event. The proximity with other players, it is something you enjoy during tournaments ? I really appreciate this ! I didn't expect to have such contact with other players when I started to play warcraft 3 or starcraft 2. But I am supprised, it is very nice. No no, it's important ! So you saw the bracket. Any comment about your upcomming matches, the bracket... I think that I face Kenzy. I didn't watch the entire bracket. It's just Lewellys who told me I was to face Kenzy, and after the winner between Tarson and Bling. Kenzy, I cannot bear to play ZvZ. It's really, as said Bling for PvP, random. I really hoped I would face someone else. Anyone else, Bling, Grubby, or any other among the best of the tournament. But when it comes to ZvZ, it is pretty boring/retarded. I could lose in the first round, this is what scares me. After that, if I can go through that round, I am almost sure to go into the finals, and the win. Ok. We were asking the same question to Bling before : you played 2v2 together, you had quite a nice run. You trained a lot together in the Millenium gaming house. If you were to face each other in round 2, any special feelings ? I think you never played against each other in tournament ? Never in tournaments, no. If I face him, I won't go easy on him, simple as that. No mercy. Good. You are among the favorite of this tournament. Is there anyone besides you ? I would say Grubby. Bling and Tarson. But one of them is doomed to be eliminated immediately. There is also Sarens. I don't really know how he trained recently. I faced him during the egg-one finals. I don't really know his level for the other matchups so I can't tell you if he deserves a seed or not. Ok. So you were talking about the first edition, in which you were eliminated by Adelscott if I remember correctly. He is not in the same part of the bracket as you, so it could be in a second part. You probably trained a lot together in the gaming house. I don't really know how much you trained together. Is it a match you are especially afraid of ? If i meet Adelscott, he does not scare me at all. I recently trained a lot against protoss with Adel, Mana and Bling. 90% of my training is against protoss. I have probably the best ZvP in Europe for sure, as for the world, I can't say that. So I'm really not afraid of facing a protoss. Ok, so can you tell us why you train so much in ZvP ? It is not the race you face most in tournaments. It is the matchup I enjoy most. It is not random at all. If you do things properly, everything goes nicely. So I seldom lose. Since I always do the same. So you have fun during your training ? Exactly ! But, there are players who practice most the matchup in which they feel the less confident. Yeah, I don't master ZvZ at all and I never train it because I don't like it. I play for fun, always ! And you are right with it ! Maybe last question. I think you are also in the NASL qualifier. Can you tell us a word about it ? I am not allowed to anounce the results yet. But I only need one more win to get through. Ok, obviously we wish you the best for the tournament. Anything to add ? Yes. I would like to thank Lewellys, and you, and all his familly who organized the event. The people who came, I haven't seen them yet. Jack, of course, Jack who is waving at me. My familly who supports me. They will even come I hope. And also Millenium and all our sponsors. Winamax, Cdiscount and MSI. And the three new ones. You can cut the three new ones !

Thanks for translating. So, he doesn't train his zvz and it's, in terms of winning percentage, his second best matchup at this point and I'd say that he's definitely top 5 in the world at it. Ridiculous.

I'm always amazed at how little he seems to lose to cheese. He just doesn't get rattled at all.

I don't know how anyone could honestly believe he doesn't have the best zvp in the foreign scene (rather than just "in Europe"). Since Stephano has struggled against MC and some other Korean Protosses -- Squirtle 5-0'd him I think -- I can't say he has the best zvp in the world. He has room for improvement, but I can't name 5 Koreans with better zvp -- maybe Coca (whose play is at who knows what level now), DRG, Nestea and Curious (maybe).

Well, no, of foreigners he'd need to compare himself to Sen who is a beast at ZvP (beating Naniwa, losing to MC 3-2, etc). In Korea you forgot about Leenock (who isn't famous for vP in Korea, but he is capable of beating anyone, including MC) and Losira who is brilliant at ZvP. Lucky also has many good wins against P. So I guess you could make that list longer even on subjective grounds. So, best in Europe sounds about right.

Every foreigner seems to go through a dominant streak compared to other foreigners every since the game started. Well all we can really do is look at right now, and I'd definitely argue Stephano for best foreigner. I suppose his main competitors are Huk, Naniwa, and Sen ? Then there's of course countless people who can take games or even series' off him like Thorzain, Mana etc etc but I do think Stephano is overall best foreigner right now.
