Last time I visited Tylers stream he said he "hadn't played in a week" with this coming only a few weeks after he said on state of the game that he was finally practicing hard. Oh, well since you obviously know better than TL's manager I'm assuming you'll be receiving a PM shortly from them requesting that you take over the position. I can't wait to see how you improve the team with your unparalleled wisdom.
Oh wait, I missed that part where you said you don't know what is "issues" are. And unless you know Tyler better than his manager, you certainly don't know what happened to make Tyler not play out the series. None of us do. So it turns out you're just jumping to conclusions without any knowledge whatsoever.
No one says you have to like any players you don't want to, but insulting them and the team with no real information is just rude.

You want to talk about jumping to conclusions? That is all your post is. A overly defensive response to what you thought you read. I didn't say I know the issues of Tyler or that I needed too. I didn't say anything about running their team. I didn't insult anyone. What a crappy and needless response.

TL can do whatever that want. I think it is safe to say everyone can agree that a pro should train like a pro. He doesn't. I do not think it is that far fetched to want someone not on respected pro team that doesn't even practice. I like Tyler and want him to succeed. If I had it my way he would be required to practice a certain amount to stay on the team. I want that for all pro gamers really. Stop being so defensive ffs.

This week he started to stream. Lost the first game to a random zerg. Got mad and simply quit.

I feel bad for Tyler. He has good mechanics, lots of creativity and raw talent. Too bad he doesnt take the game serious like other progamers do.

i dont think people not taking the game seriously would get that upset about losing

Yeah you can, if you have an elitist attitude and think you can somehow cheat the system and get by on raw talent alone. The fact is Tyler could own almost anyone if he practiced half as much as Koreans do.

This shit is getting ridiculous. It's not just specific to Tyler, a lot of people just says so and so can own anyone if they practice hard. Well no shit? Anybody pro level can own it up if they practice hard.

It's not just as simple as that. Being able to practice hard is part of the talent.

He was at his absolute best a B teamer in BW and has looked nothing special in SC2. I don't know where this supremely talented talk comes from.

Honestly I think if anyone but Tyler posted the kind of results that Tyler has posted thus far in his SC2 career, no one would ever say that.

But he doesn't, which is the point. Sc2 doesn't run on raw talent alone, otherwise Stephano would arguably be the SC2 Bonjwa. It also runs on commitment, drive, and practice time, which Tyler has been lacking. Does he have the talent? Yeah. But hypotheticals such as "he would own up IF..." mean nothing, because he didn't.

The guy I quoted was talking about pure talent. MVP and Nestea are clearly the two best players in the world.

Where did all this Stephano praise come from all of a sudden? I feel like EVERYONE is saying he has the most talent out of any player on earth, but I have no idea why.
What has he won?

All this hype for him materialized out of nothing, I swear >.>

i'd wish team liquid would re-evaluate nony's situation already. He seems like he needs an extended leave to see if he still has the heart to do pro gaming at a high level.
for there to be pro there has to be noob.

No it didn't. If you're asking "what has he won", obviously your perceptions of talent and skill in Starcraft players are somewhat limited.

Try watching some actual games.

Yeah you can, if you have an elitist attitude and think you can somehow cheat the system and get by on raw talent alone. The fact is Tyler could own almost anyone if he practiced half as much as Koreans do.

The most talented guys playing SC2 are Nada, July and Boxer.

They don't have the results in SC2 that they have in BW.

Talent, skill, and results are all different things.

And you can never clearly differentiate them for any subject.

Stephano was one of only two foreigners to make it through the four IPL3 online qualifiers.

Between Qualifier 2 and Qualifier 3 he's won series over: anypro, Axslav, MarineKing, aLive, Socke, Revival, Puzzle, KiWiKaKi, and MMA.

Last time I visited Tylers stream he said he "hadn't played in a week" with this coming only a few weeks after he said on state of the game that he was finally practicing hard. I don't know what his issues are but I do not feel he should be allowed to stay in TL anymore if he isn't going to take it seriously and ragequit midway in a NASL series(assuming that is what he did because he didn't even answer his phone).

I never said he was the best, just that he had the most talent. And I think he does, because apparently he managed to be a top tier EU player while only practicing 2 hours a day, which is ridiculous. I'm not going as far as other people as to say he's top3 zergs in the world or whatever, just that his practice time to payoff ratio is ridiculous.

i'd wish team liquid would re-evaluate nony's situation already. He seems like he needs an extended leave to see if he still has the heart to do pro gaming at a high level.

My guess is that he's basically holding out to "call it quits" until after the MLG Nationals. What's my reasoning behind this? Stride Gum. He probably signed a "season long" contract with them to promote their stuff at MLG's/signings/whatever. Now if Stride Gum wasn't in the picture, his relationship with Nazgul is friendly enough that he would be let go no problem if he wanted. Stride Gum on the other hand is a different beast and him "flaking out" might do damage to them sponsoring someone else in the SC2 realm later on. Or even worse who knows if he'll owe them money they already paid him if he walks out. Till then he'll hang tough and continue to show up to events no matter the results.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it based on what I've seen/heard. I do love Nony as a person/personality but, as an SC2 PRO, he just doesn't do it for me anymore. Watching him constantly put up poor results when he clearly doesn't practice/doesn't care is just heartbreaking.

Tyler ragequit and we couldn't get him back for a 2nd game despite many efforts to reach him, so we obliged his request to not continue playing
