The skill's there, but not the interest. How many people on TL could actually afford to fly up to NYC or someplace to actually participate in a tournament? Once the lol brackets get extended to 16 teams we'll see who else shows up. On October 14 2011 03:25 NeoIllusions wrote: 34K viewers already. Redonkulous. I'm so happy there are so many LoL events recently, always entertaining to watch it ![]() I thought 170-190 wasn't so bad in gaming until I played a few games at LAN with non-existent ping and realise now what I'm missing out on. It's torture when I need to play at home now ![]()

It's torture when I need to play at home now ![]() I played Guild Wars 1 back in the day in top 50 teams with 125 or even 200 on a bad day ping and I didn't really notice the difference until my internet was upgraded. After the internet upgrade I had around 80-100 ping in game so it wasn't the largest difference but my reaction time for interrupts improved 200%. Even the 50 ping difference is HUGE in competitive play.

Yeah agreed on this, I used to play WoW arena at quite a high level and when I started using the ping fix (lowered ping from ~160 to ~90) I started hitting interrupts almost every time instead of missing 1/4 of the time.
