Mumyung was once a prized punching bag of the community here at tl.net, until one day a wonderous and strange thing happened...
Boxer the great decided that he wanted this tub of goo to play for SKT1.
Then all of a sudden, no one was insulting him anymore. The pot shots had ceased. The frenzy was over.
And now, no one ever talks about him anymore (except FA, but honestly he would have an opinion on the colour of yellows shoes and how it effects his game play).
SO, I ask you now. Where do YOU stand on this gamer.
Is your love for SKT1 greater than your hate of his years of mediocrity?
I for one still hate Mumyung. He's a boring macro player that has embarassingly crappy micro and multi-task. In his recent game vs. TheMarine, the Terran built ONE rine, allowing Yung to pop his cherry and take the game for free. But no my friends, this is Mumyung we're talking about. He allowed TheMarine to drag his death out another 15 minutes!!!! Fighting EXCLUSIVELY with wraiths and sci-vessels TheMarine kill wave after wave of attack-moved (or it seemed like it) hydras. Each one of those wraiths must've had 25 kills. Irradiates filled the air.
Fine, Yung won...eventually. With no grace, art or pro-level control at all. It was a disgrace to pro-gaming. For god-sakes, even I could've taken the map and thrown units until I won and I suuuuuuuuuck at this game.
I hate Mumyung, and what's worse, I hate the fact that he's getting sudden respect for having a small winning streak and joining a popular team. He sucks, and though I love SKT1 I'm not afraid to say it.
uh, no one stopped talking shit about mumyung.. he loses every game he plays, he just hasn't been playing for anyone to talk about.. somehow he won that one, if it was how you said, whoopty doo
he gets in a league and loses EVERY game..that's why everyone talked shit on him
He sucks, but when you look at him, you can't help but root for the poor guy. I mean, hunched over like that, he just looks like the smelly kid from elementary school or something.
I'll typically root for him, but he doesn't belong in the Starleagues.
He has qualified for most major leagues. Just because he doesn't win doesn't mean he's worthless. Hell, look at Boxer. Even when Boxer qualified and dropped out early, he still had 49804298234 fans cheering him on. People are just reluctant to cheer for a guy who has never won a major event.

Since I know analogies (note that the word "anal" is in there; that's important, because it's the only sex you'll ever have) help people of sub-par intelligence, think of Mumyung as an average guy who barely managed to get into a really good college, then flunked out. Did he belong there in the first place?
I don't really like him, I felt really bad for Goodfriend when he lost to him recently on Nostalgia... Mumyung really didn't play with exceptional micro or macro play. It was more like he was just defending with defiler the whole game and eventually secured 3 gas for ultra, yay. As I recall he also managed to qualify for like 3 Starleagues in a row and never won a game(Maybe won a game but never made it out of groups), so it seemed like sort of a waste because you just knew he was gonna lose every time. Something about his play is just so blatantly average and his strategies are never interesting and control never fun to watch. Just a boring high level player.
