I'm just going to post here again and again: I often have the luxury of being able to listen to Playhem tourneys while I'm working, which makes for a fun-filled day. I really appreciate the hard work that goes into these games/casts. /short-post

im getting a very annoying flicker at 1080p, it seems like the screen is trying to refresh as the observer is repeatedly selecting hotkeys quickly and it's extremely annoying. at 720 it is much less noticeable.

i would have stopped watching had destiny not been doing so well!

I think you two have been doing just fine. I thought your caster spell-off has been pretty seamless, and I appreciate you two keeping yours eyes on different parts of the game so we get info that we may not see on the main screen.
I also appreciate the casual conversation, even in the middle of the game. The tournament feels accessible, as a result, and super friendly. It keeps me coming back, boys.

Apart from that, all-round solid casting, only minor annoyances with microphone issues, and ads running a little early sometimes.

Hey Playhem,
Been listening today and yesterday during the One Thousand Dollar Open. These are my firsts impressions of the show and the casters. So far I've only listened to MrNerdSwagger, Lyrlian and Robin.

Hell, I've been looking for streams like this! I like the idea of daily tournaments that are free to participate in - I'm a EU platinum player myself and I would give a playhem cup a go if it was arranged on EU. As for the stream I think that you casters have good knowledge of the game and I appreciate your in depth-analysis. You focus a lot on strategy and different builds, which is interesting. I also like how you mix personal stories and experiences from laddering. It's gives the cast a personal touch to it. You (especially Lyrlian) have a very casual tone, which is great for the level your casting on. Other casters tend to over-dramatize and scream for everything (or just being loud and speaking fast in general), which can be a pain if you use speakers since the volume tends to go up. You also have decent voices for shoutcasting so keep up the good work! Also awesome that you interract with us viewers, either asking us questions or let us ask the casters questions. Really cool to hear someone outside the US casting games as well. We need a lot more people from EU doing it.

However, sometimes you guys seem to goof around a little too much, forgetting to keep it on a sort of professional level, making it sound like a dialogue between two friends rather than a show/game. It also sounds like you at times are searching for words due to the way you speak, sort of mechanical. Try to relax instead of adding this "I'm a caster in my casting voice mode"-thing. =)

Might be too early for me to give feedback, and my vocabulary is not the best, but I'll try to follow the stream as often as possible from now on. Keep it up. I'm enjoying it a bunch =)

Post#3 (or something) of mine: I'm going to have to say - There are a few streams going on throughout the day, which I follow, and I just keep coming back to Playhem's. I blame Robin- one of the hardest-working, and lolz-inducing casters of all time. Hey hey now - everyone else does a great job as well, but his commentary makes my cheeks hurt <--the ones on my face, people - from smiling/laughing so hard.

Everyone, besides the 'lay people' in chat O.o, keeps the cast pretty clean-humored and on the more professional side, keeps up the intensity of the intense games, and makes even the 'boring' games more exciting.

On another note:

The no-name "$1000 Tournament" was great fun as well, and I'm delighted that it happened. I knew a few people competing in it, and I believe they will again - if it happens again - which it should - (and it should never have a name :D )

Watching the 11/28/11 Daily and want to say that the casters Kibbelz and Katu were great, good chemistry, knowledge, and have a very friendly tone which gives you a comfortable feeling. The only thing I think they should work on his when they hype things up, they will hype up very little common things, it isn't bad thing just something they could work on

The production value was great and its really cool to have this daily tournament for the "newcomers" to play in and practice their nerve issues and give them a chance to play against pros, I will definitely be watching more often, please keep this up

PS I would love to see these two apply for the MLG community casters program if possible, they could plug playhem while they are there also, these two are way better then most casters in some really big tournaments.

EDIT: Also love that it's open to everyone and not just top pros who were invited.
