Players who make it one round further in a single tournament have a far greater chance of qualifying, whereas players who show consistency in multiple tournaments, which I believe to be more difficult, still have little chance to catch up. It's obviously too late to change anything, but I really hope that players with multiple high finishes will be able to qualify along with those who made it near the top once. I don't quite follow this, since the points system is designed to reward consistency over one off performances. For instance, placing 2nd once will net you less points than two semifinal finishes.

At the end the top 8 breakdown will be a minimum of 100 points in each spot: 1. 114+ (Ciara currently) 2. 100+ (ESC.GoOdy currently) 3. 100+ (FnaticMSI.Fenix currently) 4. 100+ 5. 100+ 6. 100+ 7. 100+ 8. 100+ ..due to the 2nd place finishes. The current or future ro4 (+51), ro8 (+26), and ro16 (+14) finishers will have to overcome this 100+ point barrier in the next 5 opens; in addition, a 2nd place finisher could take another round, as Ciara did. It's doable, just difficult, especially in a tournament of this size. If I am making a mistake here I apologize. We'll see how it goes, top players will probably rack up the points easily--it's just tight with 5 more opens.

On the other note, someone who gets 9-16th 7 out of 8 events loses out to a one time runner-up. This isn't exactly what I'd call rewarding consistency, but do we as fans want someone in the TSL who can't get past the ro16 of an open event? I don't mind the point system.

The system is working exactly as we intended it; multiple high finishes are what will determine who makes it through with the lower rounds providing somewhat of a tie-breaker effect.
