Scootaloo was just temp banned for 2 days by Falling. That account was created on 2012-01-11 03:48:32 and had 51 posts. Reason: Balance whine LR. How terrible it must make you feel to ban a user named Scootaloo. Incidentally this person is only got 1 post in the MLP:FiM topic and it's a troll post at that.

You know, it is up to 5 pages and so far there have not been any actions. Mind you, this does not mean that there are not some bad posts already, just no actions other than moving it to blogs. Those posts are always fun to read though because of the amount of subtle insults and whatnot that go on. LoL. Thanks for sharing.

LR means Live Report, where people can go to see how the games are progressing when they can't watch them and keep up to date with scores and where some very awesome people provide a written live feed of what is happening in games. They also though tend to be used for a lot of fan reactions and some people get very excitable when their favourite players win and/or lose and in the heat of the moment a lot of people write some very stupid stuff.

Ignoring trolls, you also get knee jerk bad posts as a reaction to losses, painful moments, etc. Think of this thread as the Live Report thread for the ban list, sorta.

On April 09 2012 22:50 CyDe wrote: Um... what exactly is an "LR" thread? What does it stand for? And why do so many people seemed to get banned in them? LR stands for Live Report. LR threads are match-specific threads where people can find match information, results (in spoilers), recommendations, links to interviews / VODs. It is also where match discussions take place, from pre-game hype to post-game analysis (although the post-game part should be kept short). Also, as its title suggests, various posters update the thread with "what's-going-on-right-now" information, which is useful for fans that can't watch the video live. So many people get banned in them because they 1) rage 2) whine 3) troll 4) bash 5) post memes. Being a live report thread, some of the excitement posts like "OMG YES GEE GEE WHAT A GAME" are tolerated because you know, people get excited and want to express that. However, stuff like "what a cheesy loser I hope he gets cancer" or "protoss so fucking imba when is that shit getting patched" or "man how does that caster keep his/her job" are not tolerated, because they are offensive and don't contribute to any meaningful discussion.

Yeah that's not what LR stands for on TL. It's more like Lambast & Rage. I really wish Live Report threads worked the way they're supposed to, would be so awesome if I could get a play by play of EU tournies while at work. But as it stands you have to dig through about 20 pages of pointless posts, caster bashes, off topic discussion, and generally annoying posts for each true LR update. I really really really wish TL would separate tournament discussion/reaction and Live Reports into separate threads. Might make the tournaments section more crowded, but we would get better Live Reports and all the crap would be sequestered into one separate locations. Actually, I may suggest that in website feedback....

Actually, I think it's been discussed. Well IMO it should be a thread where people watching the games can post updates for people who can't watch it. Such as "idrA opening 15 hatch". When you mix in all the comments and discussion about the games, even with and LR lock it would be necessary to go through dozens of pages to find each update. And with events like MLG where there are four streams it would be impossible for just one person to keep everything updated. But that's why we have LR threads in the first place. Cheering for players and discussing games has a place too, but it would just make more sense to separate them out.

Man what a weekend. Im honestly surprised not to see 6135451 new posts in the ABL due to some of the whackiness going on at IPL this weekend. TL.net Bot TL.net. April 09 2012 13:05.
