Hey everyone, long time lurker here. I've read about 84 pages of this thread I believe (yes, every post so far) starting from page 1, and I feel the need to make this comment even before finishing the entire thread.
I'll start with this: The moderators on this forum are beyond amazing. The work they do, the decisions they make and their constant contributions are everything we would ever want. Thank you.
However, the moderators, as mere humans, are not perfect. They definitely know this. No "government" or group of leaders that are forced to constantly make tough decisions, ever was. Yes, the OVERWHELMING majority of their bans/decisions are right on the spot. But even if say, 2% of these decisions were wrong, with about 900 pages on the ban list thread (I believe), and 10 bans per page (right?) this would equal out to about 180 bans (2% of 9000) that were unjustified.
The reason why I'm bringing this up is because whenever I see someone questioning the decision of a moderator, they are immediately met up with 20 other individuals who try to explain why the moderators decision was justified. Like I said, almost all of the time, it is. But for those of you that do this, I just ask you to take a step back and try to approach the situation from both sides.

All I know is while occasionally mods do get it wrong- they are reasonable. As you pointed out, they're human. I don't know anyone on staff that would refuse to at least listen.
Of course you're correct that the sheer amount of bans gives a probability of a certain amount of wrong bans (i.e. Chill temp banning the OP when he troll posted TLDR on the 2nd page). That was hilarious and at least one type of incorrect ban.
But back to my point- when Chill realized it was the OP he un-temp'd him.
