Let me help you understand, the point of that sentence is talking about a comparison between the achievement in tournament play between Idra and the rest of us including desrow, is it that hard to miss that point? did i really mess up my English that bad? cause the entire post was talking about desrow's tournament achievement won't be improving by him bragging. If I put all the pieces of the sentence together it should look something like "If we compare the tournament results of Idra and the rest of us(desrow included) our results in tournament play would be like a piece of trash compare to that of idra's tournament play results" to be explicit. That is a matter of fact, "the piece of trash" is not aimed at the people, it is aimed at the difference in achievement between that of idra and the rest of us.
And CTStalker is smart enough to see that, unlike the rest he's a TL mod, he need not me to explain to him what I meant, he choose to make a straw man in order to twist my words, and I think that's inappropriate.

I think your veteran status awards leniency and respect (the latter from me, the former from mods) but if you keep arguing your case no good will come from it. Just my thoughts.

Probe1, i been learning from arguing in TL like this for 10 years here in TL(just like I learn to be careful about my explicit meaning so ppl don't mistake me from this instance).
TL is a place that values reason and logic, as long as you present your case with reason and logic all argument is welcome, that's why this community is so great, and that's what veteran needs to show this to new TL comers to they don't mistake TL being unreasonably ban happy. If something someone thinks something is not carried out according to logic and reason, that someone will be able to voice their ideas with reason and logic and have an intellectual conversation that helps both side of the argument learn something.

It is ok to compare the tournament achievement of idra to the tournament achievement of my own and refer to my own tournament achievement a piece of trash compare to idra's. And this "piece of Trash" does not extend beyond the context of tournament result.

You can say his achievement are trash [compared to IdrA's]. You can say your achievements are trash [compared to IdrA's]. You should not generalize and claim everyone else's achievements are trash. And you definitely should not call anyone a piece of trash based on their (lack of) achievements. In general, you should not call anyone a piece of trash. You're arguing the former when you explicitly said the latter.

Really it's just emotive wording. Saying someone has no achievements and saying they are a piece of trash when compared to Idras achievements convey two different messages. Although the content is the same, the emotions behind them are different. Since this is all text you have to be very careful with how you convey emotions and the words you use.

It happens man. Sometimes we think something sounds fine in our head and how we would say it normally but when we put it down in a forum format some of the meaning gets either lost or changed. It's really hard to see this are first glance sometimes since the way we perceive language in real life is different because there are various facets to communicating in person.

I said to myself, "Why not have a little fun by mindfucking you guys?", asked the esteemed gentleman Empyrean to help me out... and there you go.
