I would say there is still a lot cleaning up and restoring order going on in Japan right now, that is more important to him than TL.
But if you are desperate for a reaction you can try the Rekrul approach, it certainly got him out of hiding that time around.

I'm also wondering where he is but I assume it's like you posted. His wife's family is japanese and he lives in Japan. Not a tough decision to give up TL for a while. He already posted that he was fine (probably to avoid a situation like your link) so that's all that truly matters. All we can do is wait a few weeks/months until he, hopefully, comes back and starts throwing a few ban grenades (because hammers just aren't enough these days).

Yeah that's what I was hinting at. Possibly the greatest thread ever. He does seem to disappear at times. Didn't think about the Japanese thing. Makes sense I suppose.
Oh well, we will have to wait for his manliness to return. Though to be honest based on the ban list right know, he is probably hatching some crazy plan to purge the site for good. Speaking of, has he been overtaken on the all-time ban list yet? If so, lord help us

But seriously, it was a LR thread that had already started to derail due to the off-topic conversation, primarily around, you guessed it, balance concerns. So of course we put extra emphasis on the "No Balance Discussion/Whines" that we keep for all LR threads, and he immediately comes in right after, obviously seeing the warning since he prefaces it, and still continues to make a comment about a topic we just asked to keep out of a thread.
It wasn't severe obviously, but IMO a blatant disregard for what we're trying to do. I'm all for people sharing their opinions in the right medium, but christ, if you see a big warning that says "Don't push the red button" and you go up and press the red button... what do you think is going to happen?
That said, it was only a 2 day ban which is meant to be a 'slap on the wrist'. If it makes him think more clearly before he posts next time, then it did it's job.

Then yeah it definitely falls under the "whine" portion, and if you guys were trying to stop that sort of posting then it's justified.
