But if there were to be ignore in some form perhaps it could just be that those ignored posts are dimmed in some way, e.g. making the text color a light gray? That way the post is still there but it's easy to ignore for the reader. | ||

I always thought the purpose of moderation was keeping the forums in tact, by removing posters that unarguably cause more harm than good, working in the best interests of all users. Not telling the users who they have to talk to. Numerous boards feature an ability to ignore picked users, I don't know why TL.net would figure this doesn't suit the website,. | ||

There would be repeat posts, people talking/posting past one another, probably passive-aggressive bullshit once a poster realizes they were ignored, and on top of all of that - if everyone simply ignores a shit user instead of reporting them, then that makes the job of moderators harder and the amount of shit posts that slip through the cracks greater. | ||
