I read an amazing metaphor for folks who point at snow in usually hot places which I'd like to share because I think it's beautifully apt. A guy, standing on the stern of the Titanic, crying out "Fake news! Sinking?! Nonsense. The boat just rose another hundred feet up! I've never been further from the water" His observation is spot on, as the wreck flooded and pivoted before sinking below the water an individual standing on the stern would have risen far above the waves. But a rational individual in that position would still recognize that this is highly irregular and probably not a good sign. That the deck staying a relatively constant distance from the sea, with regular variances within tolerable amounts, is preferable. | ||

If he opens the edit box, then a warning happens, and then he submits his edit then the warning will never have been synced to the edited text he posts. Happens all the time with quotes. | ||

I assumed that the warning got updated to a ban after revision from another mod. But apparently he got a 90 days ban for trying to edit the warning. So what led to the perma ban? | ||
