Lol. So well hidden.

I was a little surprised that it was a_flayer. But it kind of fits, he always did like to push the "America bad, be more like Europe" line quite hard. Though calling the mods fascist was new.

I was having a hard time figuring out who was banned but with that political viewpoint. I... guess it fits.

I'm guessing nobody would have guessed it was a_flayer because it makes little sense to make such posts before getting permbanned on your main account.

Lol. So well hidden. I'm thinking he didn't want to hide, I mean his post basically wrote "please ban me!"
"please ban me!" suggests getting banned was his main goal. To me it seems like he primarily wanted to call others "A Bunch Of Fascist Pigs" and couldn't control himself.

It's not very surprising coming from a guy who kept insisting you're living under "corporate fascism".

Not surprised at all. A_flayer has always been opposed to being moderated or being told he can’t just flame the shit out of an entire thread any time he feels like it.
Edit: the corporate fascism comment did lead to a funny discussion about bad young adult fiction.

Good point, I should have said goal to go out in what he thought was a blaze of glory.
He shone bright like a diamond, but still nothing compared to the Kickboxer nuclear boom.

I really hope you have some additional checks in place beyond "That email name is similar to a username". (I don't think you should disclose them, i just hope they exist)
(Oh, and just to be sure, i don't have any "Simberto@..." email adresses)

User was temp banned for this post.
fluidrone is the latest victim of the oh so popular Caster "Feedback" Thread.

I came here to check the reaction to a fluidrone ban and I am utterly disappointed by the lack of it!
It's kinda sad that he posted something as dumb though, I was expecting some epic tirade with Inception-level spoiler depth and it was just an uncalled for Rifkin attack.
@Plexa: you give him leniency, because he is the soul of this forum. This particular post was stupid, that much is true, but the complete works of the man (over the oh-so-many accounts) are absolute gold which would be really dumb of you to get rid of forever.

That's a good way to get a temp ban prolonged. Just create an email with his name, register through a VPN, trash talk a bit, and voilà!
Also:
GreenHorizons was just temp banned for 2 days by Seeker.
That account was created on 2011-04-16 10:56:04 and had 13761 posts.
Reason: I need to be fair here.
Yes, JimmiC posted something stupid and insensitive. He went too far. But you also admitted that you weren't completely free of fault either. Looking back at your posts and the PM conversation that you had with JimmiC, it is clear that you were speaking in a very condescending manner and that you were belittling him. Therefore, you can't go punishment free either. My advice is that you two should just ignore each other before any of this gets even worse. Can admins read the content of anyone's PM?

I very, very much hope not.
For ... reasons.
