I don't like reporting posts, I prefer to talk things out, but not if its at the cost of a good thread like the afreeca feed. | ||

That happens faaaar more and is tolerated way more. It won't happen. I don't understand why people even need to fight about it. Grow up. you realise there are 13-15 year olds coming in as new users to TL everyday right. yeah tell them to grow up quick. A ban on cross sc talk would be easier than waiting for threads to be ruined. there are people coming in with "hey look at what sc2 balance is like, dont you think BW needs to be balanced too blabla" and that kind of nonsense | ||

The apparent naivete of his post notwithstanding, if we take the troll out of the post, it appears that his question was made out of curiosity. While it was phrased very poorly, his main point was that SC2 is constantly being patched as Blizzard is desperate to balance the game while making it more interesting. On the other hand BW has hit the sweet spot where no one is complaining (much) about balance and the game is well loved. But the point is that because a lot of the balancing was done through maps, does it mean that BW is condemned to use the same maps forever? Or are there map making entities out there that can introduce fresh new maps that shake up gameplay without skewing balance? It's not at all a "hey SC2 is good BW can learn from it" post. It was, however, poorly written. The problem is that whenever such a discussion takes place in the BW forum, someone will reply with belligerence. Trolls deserve as much, but not all SC2 fans are like that. Many are fans of both games and healthy discussion exists about the two games. There's no reason to ban discussion of one game, assuming there is a purpose for it, in the forum of the other just because of a select number of trolls. There is also no reason to respond with such aggressiveness to anyone that has an opinion that you don't agree with. | ||
