I'd say just serious warns and bans -- ignore self-requested or joke stuff.
It also took me a bit of googling to figure out what a "mong" was.

I also think having sexy anime wallpaper is weird as hell. I have similar thoughts as this guy who got temp banned but never wanted say anything because it would just offend people and would be pointless. And it would offend A LOT of people on TL and I would probably write something much more offensive than him. But I always remind myself "to each his own." I probably do a ton of stuff other people find weird as hell too.

Personally, I have no problem with the anime wallpapers. Maybe it's because I'm a Touhou fan, or because I tend to be more tolerant of differing tastes, but they don't bother me at all (barring the occasional paper that shows a panty shot or some such risqué pose). I can definitely see why others are bothered by them, though. Perhaps it's time I started imposing tighter restrictions in my desktop threads, concerning what is and isn't acceptable.
I never really considered this issue to be a big deal, but maybe I'm mistaken in that regard. Thanks for bringing this up, AirbladeOrange (and nTwLegy to a lesser extent, because he was way too hostile), because it seems that this issue is more controversial than I had previously thought. I'll see what I can do to remedy, or at least curtail, the dissatisfaction with these wallpapers.

I want to make sure the distinction is made (at least from my perspective) that it bothers me but it is not offensive to me. I'm not advocating you make any adjustments to your desktop thread just because I feel uncomfortable looking at sexy drawings. I guess I'm just saying I don't think it's a big deal at all, just a matter of personal taste.

usually it's because teamliquid just wants people or veteran posters to clean up instead of giving out harsher punishment (like 2 weeks ban and beyond) so SubtleArt clean it up and I found it funny you're those guys that made the thread. LOL

If anyone cares, Mythyasha (the thread starter) goes to my school and we're pretty good friends. He thinks his strat is really good, and I always joke to him about it. So when he posted it on TL, I decided it would be funny to bash / derail his thread. I'm not actually an asshole.
