The latest ban he received was because he gloated at a certain admin, who was apologizing. It was made to offend, which isn't probably new considering the ban reason.
To be honest, I hope there won't be an another last warning to IdrA. There is a catch in leniency. Nothing makes an authority less threating (not the right word but you get the idea) then a series of last warnings. Then again it's TL staff we are talking about, so there won't probably be any worries about that.

Top level players have been banned before. I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen.

Look, all it means for the TL.net staff is that they have a brain and can think of themselves without following some arbitrary guidelines that may or may not be effective for each individual user. Be happy in the fact that you aren't being pigenholed for warnings/bans...unless you are trying to sell leather bags for 25$.

The thing is that Idra knows so much about the game that sometimes he posts stuff that nobody here have a clue about. I don't like him, but I have to say he made me laugh a lot of times and his comments about brood war games, when he was not playing, were sometimes very very insightful.
I remember his analysis of a PL game when Flash lost to Best, nobody had a clue about what happened, but for him it seemed as easy to analyse than if it had been a 4 pool vs 14 CC bo victory.
I don't think TL will ever ban him for good unless he fucks up massively. That would be just silly, although he is annoying from time to time.

Idra is one of the characters, like CM, who make this place so diverse and interesting. He'd still be an awesome poster even if he wasn't a pro because he can actually have a good opinion and he's just so damn angry at times

I think the flying monkeys had something to do with someone asking about rank icons. Like at X you get Y etc, and the mods decided to derail the thread with monkeys or soemthing. Thats what i think happened...

This is a pretty interesting question. I want to know as well. Though, I'd assume, a lot of high-post people have been around for a long time, and thus have a lot of leniency by the time TL became more and more strict.
