What's with all the ban by request. There are lots of them recently.

People like to have control, they can get the ban at the amount they want instead of doing something stupid and getting a ban they don't want.

heh kiwikaki here
KiWiKaKi was just temp banned for 2 days by semioldguy.

Reason: You have a nice collection of warnings for memes, useless one-liners, all caps posts... which your most recent post fits into all three. This should not be considered an accomplishment. Please improve the quality of your posting.

I, too, avoided soup for fear that it would burn my mouth. Alas, it turns out that soup tastes pretty good

User was temp banned for this post. reading these comments, can't help but laugh at times(not at the person). I mean, how hard can it be to write something then delete it and reconsider the point of arguing politics on the internet. Do people really think it'll change someone's pov just like that if you argued with them (and in some cases insult someone?) Also, more self-control needed I think. Not necessary in regards to KaiserKieran's post since I never read it but in general, can be helpful on the internet and in real life

No, no. You can definitely change someone's mind by rational arguments on the internet. Try it yourself!

Well, if you agree with the argument structure "rational arguments change people's minds", and it's a fact that you have been making arguments, yet evidence shows that your arguments did not change people's minds, then, what should we conclude from this...

Actually, in the Red bull messing up thread in SCII section (one about Scarlett protesting Apoc playing in NA qualifier), one of the posters is trying to tell me that supporting Scarlett's decision to protest ingame is wrong so I may be arguing there but I'm not trying to change his opinion. Just trying to tell him to get off my back nicely if even possible at this point lol and I can't see it ending well.

Show them what its like to be classy! Show them NA has pride! Well when you can't win tournaments I guess pride is better than nothing Edit: stupid comment. I can sympathise with Scarlett's position but I don't think what she did will help her case. I have to wonder how Apoc managed to get as far in a tournament without admins interfering however. ? Sorry to say but yes, that was a stupid comment. I think she did a great thing by standing up for what happened. If the rules are for NA players then apocalypse should not have even entered the tournament. Massive failure and bending of rules(if some comments are true) on Redbull's part. What she did was not a great thing at all. Not only did she act unprofessionally, but she half-assed "standing up" against what happened. Going into a game and getting through it just to get it over with is not standing up for anything. Don't put words in her mouth either. I don't remember a single thing she said about standing up for anything. IIRC she did what she did because she was angry. Being angry at something doesn't mean you're fighting it. If she was going to protest it she would have not played at all. What she did was not take it seriously or act professionally due to anger. This isn't to say Redbull doesn't have some explaining to do, but do not let Scarlett's actions go without consequence, much less applaud what she did. She's admitted she handled it poorly, I'm not saying pitchfork her, but this is far from a black and white issue. I could applaud what I like lol. Who are you to tell me what to approve and disapprove? I didn't watch the qualifier so I don't know just how bad it was but I could care less. I know what her point was and I will stand by it. Maybe you should read her blog to get more information but I thought you might like this part: "I'm sorry to everyone watching/casting for doing this; it was worse than just not playing out the games ( but I needed to make a point)" I have no desire to go to read every blog to find out more information about everything. What she did was wrong, and you are more than welcome to applaud it all you want. That said, you're wrong in doing that and it's attitudes like this that end up allowing shitty actions to continue. lol. Someone reading your post will think there's a ton of blogs to read when there was only 3 links in the OP and if I recall, one blog which was Scarlett's(other was rule link I think, too lazy to check third link). I only read the OP and wanted to see her side before I wrote my post so I read her blog which is around a page and was a quick read so nope, there isn't a ton of blogs to read if you want to get more info on the situation. If you don't want to, that's fine and you're welcome to post your opinion and such but I could careless what you think of my opinion or attitude lol. Since you seem to not be aware of the situation and keep claiming ignorance(of the info), here's more info for you and it was in this thread a couple of posts after mine: On October 25 2013 07:22 Saryph wrote: I think an important thing to remember is that this was the second qualifier, and that Apoc played in the first one as well, people complained, and nothing was done. In the second qualifier Scarlett took a stand after nothing was done about players complaining about the situation, and even if not the most diplomatic action, it produced results: the admins finally upheld the rules. Fact: Scarlett protested ingame after the admins did nothing in the 2nd qualifier(see quote) and got the desired changes which were the correct changes and inline with the rules. Could she have done it another way? maybe, I dunno but I'm damn glad she took actions because as is apparent, actions speak louder than words and even after 3 years, it seems like companies can't get some things right including following their own rules ><; She's that much cooler in my book after this and just gained a new fan.
