It happened to come at a time when a lot of people were fed up about balance, but I think the recent success of HotS shows that that kind of major redesign probably isn't needed. | ||

People need to understand that it's about the design philosophy and not the game you're trying to emulate. Or indeed about trying to emulate any game in the first place. Brood War just happens to be the best and easiest to understand example because it's something that most of us have played and watched extensively. | ||

TL will have a metldown. I have played a match of DOTA 2 ever, and I have to say Beyond the Summit has impressed me, as has Tobiwan Kenobi with how they cast those games. I still have no idea what a ton of the items do, but there is so much going on it is crazy. Let the purists cool their jets, Dota is growing on me and it seems a fair few SC2 players as well. Shame from what I saw of Liquid'Dota they didn't seem to be up to snuff. | ||

The most refreshing part of Dota 2 on TL is the lack of whine and people just wanting to play the game and not argue about stupid shit they can't change, like Visas, event dates, balance and if there are enough Koreans for them to watch. It is a majestic place. | ||
