As someone who works in fraud, I am curious what his endgame was to get money out of a team like sMI. Usually when you do scams that involve, actually contacting a group/individual you want to have someone with people skills which this man clearly lacks. | ||

I'm pretty sure it was a common early term for people in general with mental developmental disorders as well as specifically Down syndrome, because some of them looked like Asians and the racist stereotype was that Asians were stupid because early Asian immigrants worked low-income jobs and didn't speak English very well / with a standard accent. So it was basically hitting two disadvantaged groups with one stone, oh ho how hilarious America was in the late 1800s and early 1900s. | ||
