Reason: Type of violation: Racial/Ethnic Consequences for TL Account: TL Account suspended for 168 hours
Greetings,
We are writing to inform you that we have had to place a temporary ban on your TL account and temporarily suspend it for 1 week. racism not worth a perm ban anymore? Or am I missing something here?
OH. Now i see what they did there. Ah, I love it when mods have a good sense of humor. Its what makes TL's ban list more funny than certain threads that are made to be funny.
Err. i didn't know how to word that, lol

The BitByBit fanclub and the racist guy's blog make me a little disappointed in the Starcraft 2 community on teamliquid. I don't like losing to all-in strategies either, but it's amazing how many people think Starcraft 2 should be played by the same rules as 3v3 0clutter nr10 from Battle.net 1.0.

I don't think it's a matter of wanting to have SC2 be the equivalent of no-rush BW games, but that macro games are generally more exciting and truly test the skill of the player. I don't know anything about this BitbyBit guy, but apparently he all-ins a lot. That's not necessarily a bad thing; after all, pros are not playing for the audience so much as themselves. However, we, as spectators, crave the variety that happens in macro games. It's perhaps a bit juvenile to flame the guy for doing what he can to win, but it's just as childish to take that thread as representative of the StarCraft community.
That racist guy was a tool, though, so I won't bother defending his case. What an ass-casserole.

Oh, I thought this BBB guy was like SC2's Shine, in which case I would totally understand.

flamewheel better have something good for 10000th post because that second account was used for a really really dumb bump of an already horrible thread.

That account was created on 2010-12-07 07:04:07 and had 3 posts.
Reason: advertising Jesus, this guy is persistent. 11 accounts banned over 2 weeks. Why hasn't he figured out that TeamLiquid is not an optimal source of consumers?

Kojinshugi was banned. He was the guy with 2.5k posts in a few months. I was wondering how he managed to keep up that amount of posting without getting in major trouble for poor quality. I guess his luck ran out. It'll almost be a little sad to not see a post from him on every page of every thread in the SC2 section. I guess he probably already has a new account, hopefully one that's a little less spammy. Still, it's quite the accomplishment to make it to 2.5k posts in a few months and only get banned now.

Go look at Shine's winstreak. Now tell me, with a straight face, he's a bad player.

fIamewheel was just banned by Chill.
That account was created on 2010-05-05 18:50:12 and had 177 posts.
Reason: Why do you have fiamewheel and flamewheel? And why do you use one of them to make retarded posts? Wow was browsing through general and saw the post that got him banned (bumping an old thread with "wat" quoting a bad post). Did he really make two accounts for the reason said lol. Also a good reminder to watch out for names with lower case "L"s in them.
Edit: Oh certainly seems like the same person and the reason is probably just to post while preventing his 10k post on his main account.

That reminds me of all those malicious accounts made to appear as legitimate user IDs: DoctorHeivetica, LntotheWow, etc :o

Also I dont see why rate of posting and quality have anything to do with each other!! If you spend more time on TL/day you will have a proportionately higher no. of posts too... I think its quite patronising of someone to see the posting-rate and just assume that someone is a low quality poster. It may well be a quality poster who posts more, in which case I wud prefer him to be applauded rather than castigated!! Edit: I'm not saying anything personalised here just making a general statement.
