He also said that he wants to get rid of all of our troops from our allies, leaving both America and our allies weak. Also, Hillary Clinton (at least I think it was her) said she wants to get rid of our Navy."
I cannot believe you're spouting this crap. Dissenting opinions is welcome on TL, but wading through borderline conspiracy theories is disheartening. Please do not bring down the thread with these extreme, unsubstantiated claims.
This person was spouting utter nonsense in the election thread, glad to be rid of him for a day or two. I'll admit that posters like that make me want to post possibly ban-worthy hostilities like no other, I swear that posting in the US general election thread is an excellent exercise in self-control. I can actually say that having posters like NonCorporeal and dvorakftw pop up every so often has improved my e-character Grrrr. I love Dvorak. Like, the actual composer. And this user and I probably share common political views. Which makes his posts and bans all the more frustrating for me. >_< RE: Dota 2 keys: Decided to download the Dota 2 spectator client and see just how much the game costs. Really, guys, it's only 30 bucks. Can't believe people are such cheap losers begging for a key, lol. It's actually only about 5 USD if you 'buy' the invite from someone else rather than direct from Valve. Makes it even sadder how much people are begging for it.

I large portion of players are minors with no access to electronic cash. 10+++ years ago. Parents don't always accommodate the gaming desires of their children.
I don't understand how these people can't understand simple English in the OP and mod note lol. Oh well, it leads to nice red text.

I don't know how many people got hit by the frosty banhammer, but there's a lot in that new bronze division =)

I got a temp ban once over complaining about how the Jinro vs IdrA GSL series went down in a LR thread. Which I apologized for my comment. Other than that, never had any moderation directed at me.

I just read an amazing quote.

In the same way sometimes we don't agree with everything our tax dollars fund or how much we are paying (or how little others are), but for the most part they help maintain a pleasant society to live in. It's both relevant and funny.

I mostly lurk here, though I've had a few posts in this thread commenting on some bans. I think I've had like 4-5 2 day bans? 1 1 week ban and 1 2 week ban (that I just got out of, + Show Spoiler +yeah fck you harem, that was harsh ).
TBH, I really do need to increase my posting quality. That 2 week ban taught me.

edit: basically wondering if there's a correlation between getting banned / commenting on others bans Never banned or warned. To be fair though, that's mostly because I extremely self moderate my comments before posting. Not because I fear the mods being unfair as the Legion of the Banned might believe, but because I write a lot of terrible or useless crap that doesn't contribute, but I'm pretty good at thinking before I hit post. I think. The "-CharlieMurphy" post a few pages back was an interesting insight. It seemed the thing that bothered him most was the potential lack of sex life ABL posters may or may not have. Kinda interesting to see in the mind of someone off the deep end kinda liking blaming the onlookers for the car crash.
It wasn't an interesting insight. The irony is that he's wasting time making throwaway acounts to bad mouth people who don't give a shit. Yup, we're the ones with no life....

Antoine's bans for great justice! No mercy.

That post is really amazing and well written When you compare verbatim the it seems quite cool, though imho a comparison that's more true to what they do would be government. How authoritarian they are, how tightly it holds people in check. Moderators are closer to government than they are to taxes, but yeah it does sound pretty nice at least when you compare word-by-word.

Not gonna lie, I thought the guy was/is a liar. One post? No wall of text? Doesn't sound like a Blizz employee, haha. But perhaps I was wrong. Says he's been here since mid-July, so perhaps it was for lurking/info.-gathering, or a "just in case" measure.

edit: basically wondering if there's a correlation between getting banned / commenting on others bans Ahh... I was banned for the 1000 pages, and I think maybe three times more for requested bans. One of those was because I lost a BO3 against a fuckin' masters player, who I thought I had a chance against because he was drunk. Though I did take one game off of him, and might've had the third had I not had to forfeit since I had to go somewhere. No really, I swear. Then two warnings, once because I posted an image in response to someone getting banned for posting an image, and another time because I called Apple a "BUNCH OF FUCKING COMATOSE MONKEY FETUSES." Unless you can see them in person, or know them irl id never take a bet like that on their word saying they're "drunk"On September 05 2012 15:14 aRyuujin wrote: So, ABL frequenters, how much moderation history have you guys had?
edit: basically wondering if there's a correlation between getting banned / commenting on others bans I think im one of the few to make it to the two page club, if that tells you anything! been a good while since any warnings/bans tho We beleive ETT right? Riiiight?

Actually I'm pretty sure several members and even a couple staff have seen me do some drunken moderating IRL.
It actually always goes fine until storrzerg gets a hold of my account.
