This thread is for discussing recent bans. Don't discuss other topics here. Take it to website feedback if you disagree with a ban or want to raise an issue. Keep it civil.NOTE: For those of you who want to find the actual ABL thread where the bans are posted. Please look in here: https://tl.net/forum/closed-threads/ |
That's really funny. "I'll gladly take a ban for this" became "Oh shit, somebody responded and I need to make an alt account to respond back."

I don't think it is a good poll. The gsl competition is not a farce, but that doesn't mean the kespa players won't dominate in like 6 months or so. The point is that the potential of these people is unknown at this moment. If we still see games like this in another 3 months, I might begin to think there is no elephant (dependent on player of course). Personally i still think kespaplayers playing sc2 will give an upward force in terms of overall skill level. Does that mean i think there is an elephant? not necessarily. Just an increase in population (of progamers) should give a rise in level. I feel this poll is too back and white. Edit: lol @ map balance whine The elephant theory specifically stated that: -The competition was a farce -Because of that, BW pros would totally roflstomp GOM pros immediately or shortly after switching The theory WAS just as black and white as the poll. People are just softening the arguments like they always do when theories fail. As much as I love JD this was the expected result. What was said, was that the time the level of play was weak and that it would take the Kespa pros a few months to dominate. Everybody has agreed that the level of play is miles above what it used to be back then, therefore the claim that it would take Kespa pros a few months to dominate has not been expected in quite a while. What is expected though, and what the article also did try to say, is that the Kespa pros are better than the current GSL players. And yes they are. The funny thing is I actually followed several courses on formal logic. I guess I didn't learn anything. In any case, I think Flash and Jaedong will be very strong over time, it just doesn't validate the elephant theory which requires that every single KeSPA A-teamer would completely crush all the competition, not just Flash or Jaedong. Yes, it is a shame. Next time remember to do your homework, it'll teach you a lot. You are disgustingly arrogant. If the KeSPA players were better, they'd win. It's as simple as that. The better player wins. Could they potentially be better? Yes. Are they currently better? Not even close. You call yourself an objective bystander, yet you have not used objectivity to judge the situation. You have argued with thoughts and feelings, not with measurable facts. Whenever someone attempts to deny you, you just tell them they're stupid and require further education. You've met your match. In the words of your people, the trolls, "come at me bro". What does it mean to say someone is the better player? Is Bischu the better player than Taeja? If it were a best of three, he would have 2-0d Taeja. I don't think Bischu is or was the better player than Taeja. Do you? I do think that Bischu played better but that is not equivalent to being the better player. Of course, all this is redundant because I don't think Jaedong is currently the better player. Does he have the potential to be the better player? Yes. Way better. Sometimes, unfortunately, an argument will not do and ridicule is the only option. Gurembles there is a good example. It is simply a fact that his interpretation, as is so many else's, of the Elephant thread, is wrong. I have tried pointing this out and I've even offered to elaborate on the points. But as I said, sometimes an argument will not work, no matter how sound it is. Don't consider me a troll. Consider me a teacher. You could learn a few things. User was temp banned for this post.

Reason: While its ok to not like MOBA games, it is not ok to claim that anyone who enjoys them should be euthanized. They enjoy different pixel men fighting each other than you do, that doesn't warrant advocating their murder.
Sometimes the internet scares me. It makes me wonder what kind of grip on reality some of our posters have. Props to GMarshal for pointing out the asbsurdity of his position.
