I think every time squattincasanova got temp banned in the past I would go "well, I don't like to gloat at others being banned, but I don't like this guy" in this thread. I'll skip the first part this time;
Holy shit I'm glad this guy is gone.

I assume that's fascination from the same school as "train wreck"?

I personally expect an obituary to contain more than one post from the offending user, so it better be more than that.

Well, I don't want to see TOO many photos of the guy's abs. He was really obsessed with them. I'm sure he knew the ban was coming too.

I don't either. I was just making a joke. Last thing I'd want would be for a page here to summon... them... as a repercussion for an obit.

This in the D3 forums. What is it with people going into forums dedicated to games (BW, D3, LoL , or what have you) just to flame? ;_; It seems like such a waste of effort. How could you even find pleasure in this?

Yeah, this always amazes me. They could have posted this on their twitter or facebook or reddit or pretty much any where else, but instead decided that being a douche was the way to go.

I used to do that shit, about 10 years ago.
I don't think all kids do it, but a lot of kids do. And plenty of people never outgrow it. I think it's a natural reaction to feeling misunderstood.
These days, I don't feel misunderstood, I just know I am. Just like it's not paranoia when they really are out to get you.

Yeah, I did also back in High School because of course I was way smarter and therefore better than everyone else and my opinion meant more than anything. I saw it as there is nothing more holy than just plain being right, so what did it matter if you were a dick? I am so glad that I put a lot of that behind me...other than making fun of stupid people who get banned in this thread that is. LoL.

And like, there are a lot of games I don't play, or even personally dislike, but I'd never think to go and shit on another community of gamers just because I'm not a fan of one game or another. I'd like to think D3, Sc2, and BW gamers have more in common than they have different. Maybe I've just been watching too much day9 though

Well, having common ground is part of the problem. Take, for example, the US and Native Americans. Common ground? Yeah, we both wanted to own the same ground. Most wars start because of common ground and the differences it causes.
Just like love and hate are tightly intertwined as emotions. That common ground without quite being on the exact same page is where the friction comes from.

Rip squattincassanova. I'm gonna slip some broad some GHB in between fist pumping and negging her. It's what he would have wanted.

That's a good point. Maybe having things in common is what allows for the infighting. Maybe that's what makes the Sc2 vs BW flame wars burn so brightly, since these guys are all RTS fans, from the same series. It's always Sc2 vs BW, and never like, Sc2 vs Presbytarians.

Exactly. The similarities make the differences stand out more starkly. Take two baseball fans of different teams, they'll rip each others throats out, but a baseball fan and football fan just roll their eyes at each other.
