Edit: Actually i did once with a gomtv restream. Thought it was a virus or something.

I should do that. I've been PMing NrGmonk every time I see something in SC2 strategy, since I haven't seen anyone else ban anyone or close any threads in recent memory.

And here i thought Fisson requested a ban and then had a change of thought and asked to be unbanned, thus resulting in him getting a 90. Instead it was more of a preemptive warning.

Actually, what you described is exactly what happens! There are several "ban buttons" of varying length available on the user's info page. These buttons are for two days, one week, two weeks, thirty days, ninety days, and permanent bans. The moderator in question has to use one of those buttons to ban, and only under exceedingly unusual circumstances are custom ban durations applied. I believe there have been four non-standard bans so far; unfortunately, I can only recall two of the four from memory. Maybe a mod can clarify the other two, or if I'm just flat-out wrong.

That's part of it. He's made 4 threads all of which have been closed for being terrible, except one which was closed for being a repeat thread but was otherwise not really a problem.

ETT I think you shouldn't feel bad and consider moderating as contributing less than people editing Liquipedia, posting news and making vods. What makes the forums great is the standards and only through moderation they can be enforced, only thanks to that people can feel here like at home and think about the community as a family.
BTW I'm rooting for non Koreans too but what's as important is watching highest level StarCraft possible so our views match here
