If DreamHack offered you money to dance to Gangnam Style on the main stage/main stream, would you do it? How much money would be needed in order to do it?

Rød grød med fløde is supposed to be that porridge dish that's supposedly something really hard to say right? I remember stumbling over this a few times before getting it. And yes, I'm in København. The prince is my neighbor. Cool stuff, there were a thai exchange student at my school who still couldnt say it after a year in Denmark :p Remember to check out the danish barcraft facebook group, there should atleast be one for Aarhus, KBH, Aalborg and Odense iirc ![]()

Or a Wimbledon tennis court, complete with ballboy, umpire, and Roger Federer? Or are we talking realistic items? And how large is this island? I'm supposing fruit, vegetables, and game are readily available and there are enough trees, stones, and whatnot to create shelter and tools. Realistically, I'd take a combination of an intellectual debater (attractive, female, my age optional), a comprehensive book & dictionary combo on a language I've always wanted to learn (Spanish, Portugese, German, or even Chinese for attaining perfection), and a first aid kit with medication that won't go bad for the first year or two at least. Assume any three items or people that dont let you off the island. Other wise it can be anything.

You make me happy. + Show Spoiler + During freshman orientation this year all of us leaders did the gangam style dance, when did pop culture find things which should only be known in the SC community?

No but speaking as someone not from Korea who gets a lot of Korean culture through SC2 it freaks me out when those things spill into pop culture too. It isn't that I thought Ganagam Stlye and SC were exclusive, just never thought about the fact that a Korean rap song could pervade the rest of the world in such a way that I would dance it at a tiny liberal arts college in canada and that a bunch of the incoming frosh would already know it.

Region of Origin (continental) Age Gender (optional) Usage of Gaming Terms (multiple questions) Obv, I will not be asking any really personal stuff (i.e. name, address and whatnot). The purpose of the survey is for my 3rd year baby thesis for my COMA104 (Language and Culture) class; the study is about the jargon used by the Starcraft community (BW and 2), and possibly some other terms which are used across different video game communities (common terms like GG, for example) and it will encompass the lexicon as well as the demographic usage (according to age, situation, etc.) of the terms within that lexicon (le professor demands it). For my research data, I'll be using Liquipedia as well (if that's okay?), so I was also wondering if for the demographic statistics I could also run to TL for help. ![]()
