Might as well go the whole 9 yards with it and be the #1 Esports website around. I completely agree. Since there's going to be a new Counter Strike, as well as Fighting Games are doing tremendously well worldwide.
I could only imagine how awesome it would be if this site was the spot for all competitive gaming. It would be like what gotfrag was supposed to be until it got taken over and all the writers got cut.

I'll play dota 2. I hope to face my rival. I will beat you, Throzz!

ESPORTS, obviously
those games have big prize pools = ESPORTS = forum!

Awesome. I've been looking into Dota2 but haven't gotten all that interested. Maybe browsing the forum will change that.

Yeah man, Hot_Bid runs the show here, and if its ESPORTS it belongs on Teamliquid.
Then again so are other games, but the moba genre playerbase has a very close relationship with SC, alot of people here play both games.

I am always looking for the "Team Liquid" or "Elitist Jerks" of whatever game it is I am playing. For League of Legends, the best sites are small and are all good at different things.
I, for one, love the idea that Team Liquid's community might open up to these other games with SC2 as well. Esports family, indeed! <3

Quite honestly I don't like this. I feel Team Liquid will shift focus from StarCraft with this. And we'll get a huge influx of LoL users who come troll StarCraft forums.

I think it's a fantastic initiative for TL to offer a place to discuss LoL and DotA on a mature level, especially given how popular these games are, and how much they need a TL-style community.
My only gripe is how DotA 2 is placed above LoL

I am actually glad that there are these individual sub-forums on TeamLiquid to discuss the game, instead of using the original LoL forums which is filled with total children sometimes. TL will actually show what is good about LoL and DotA 2 and people who represent the game properly instead of constant bitching that you find in game, maybe it is a step towards change in the general LoL community. I doubt it though.

Cool to have a sub forum added since the DotA/HoN thread has been big for a long time.

I was waiting for this to happen every since the popularity and price money of these games has increased. I think it will be perfect for TeamLiquid.
I have one question though. Does this mean that TL might add a Dota/LOL team to their roster?

Yeah, hopefully that's the case.
My point though was just that this seems quite unexpected/random to the extent that I feel like I'm missing something. Adding subforums on the sidebar isn't something that's taken even remotely lightly (I've been wanting them for the SC2 Tournies section for a while), so something like creating a subforum for a game with 4 threads seems pretty 'out-there' to me. I'm not particularly saying it's bad, it just seems awkward as hell.
