Hello, all!
It's become quite apparent that many of you are not reading the first post carefully.
Failure to do so in the future will be met with swift punishment. And as always, remember to be civil.
Thanks,

If someone is being "excessively" abusive or posting numerous posts that offend people (not just 1 admin) I'd say discuss it with him privately. I think the forum moderators need a vacation, even if it's to get some fresh air or socialize in real life and not take things too serious. Idra is known to have a little BM from time to time but why make a big deal of it ? If anything this is just comical to him. I think Idra is on the side of "you need me more than I need you so make your move" but I could be wrong...(doubtful).
I dunno, my friend told me about this whole thing and I just think it's totally childish, high school drama. Unban him and get on with your lives...
Except the mods did in fact discuss it with him privately before giving him the 90 day ban. Oh and I like how you call others childish in the same post that you produce the token "get out of your basements and get a life" insult. Very mature indeed.

Love the way anyone who posts that they agree is fine, and anyone who posts that they do not agree gets a warning.
EDIT: I've only read the first 7 pages, I don't know if the pattern continues.
Ah well, Idra had it coming anyway.

If there was any doubt about how much Idra's actions hurt the community all you have to do is look as far as this thread. For a fun experiment, filter through the banned posters in this thread and wave good riddance.

Ah well, Idra had it coming anyway. Somehow I can't help but notice the lack of disagreement other than things like "nazi mods" "no one gives a fuck." So yeah if people can't disagree without insulting the mods/community, then they get a warn/ban.

so saying that you disagree with the enforcement of 10 year old rules that everyone should know gets you a warning....how are you surprised by this? This is called good moderation. The mods are the only reason this site has remained sophisticated and not a halo 3 community of tantrums

does anyone within these 85 pages actually think about how this affected idra? Up until recently i didnt rate idra at all (after all the flames with HuK and such) and even when he said that if he got 20k viewers for that SOTG he'd be commentating on his stream, that seemed really big headed. But when i watched him stream, i just saw him in a different light and no longer thought he was just a good player who cried that zerg were massively underpowered, but that he was possibly the best foreigner ive ever seen play.
How do you think he felt towards cruncher? cruncher who is obviously no where near as good as idra, im not flaming, its a fact, and yet he knocks him out? and puts a smiley? Personally, id go find cruncher and kick him in the head. And then for him to snipe him on his stream (which i have nothing against) but im pretty certain he had the sound on and was cheating. So cruncher gets all this attention about beating idra and people laughing at idra and whatver. Being a progamer, im not surprised that idra would be annoyed. Saying what he said was maybe slightly unacceptable, but he obviously just feels very passionately about it, even if it only a video game.
Personally im on team idra. He does so much for the community - in terms of him having 2-3 times more viewers on his stream then anyone else, and being a crowd favourite at tournaments and whatever. I just dont agree with this ban, but can see why you justify it?
if he goes bash cruncher in ladder does he get his sentence reduced for good behaviour :D

So you ban the most famous SC2 name who has most fans, most viewers and always speaks the truth that other people are shy to say? Nice.
User was warned for this post

It doesn´t matter if its Idra, SlayerSBoxer, the queen of England. Everyone needs to behave and not be a bad manneder child, Idra just thinks he is better than everyone and that is now going to bite him back. What you harvest is what you get!!!!!!!

Well I for one like IdrA because he speaks his mind.. If you don't like it just ignore it, it's not that hard..

They get warned for having a flaming tone, insulting or saying stuff that's already been answered (aka, post without reading the OP at least).
If you don't agree with a warning, you* can PM a moderator to review it. We are very serious on our moderation.
* protip: don't post on your twitter for everyone to PM a moderator.

That would be because the people who run TL actually have integrity.

Guess we're all equals here, good to know.

Yes, because ignoring idra's tweet somehow makes the hundreds of pms in chills inbox disappear, right?
It's a dumb thing to say anyways here. There are rules here. EVERYONE is supposed to follow them.

Well, i love how idra plays but off the game his social skills are very poor.
He is the one that needs to loosen up a little.

Are you suggesting he should be immune to the rules because hes e-famous?
People can have points of view you disagree with here. The trick is not to come across as a petulant child when expressing them.

90 days is way too much for a ban. I mean seriously for 1/4 year? This wont help relax the tension between chill and idra at all and might bear even more twitter hate.
TL is known for warning/banning the shit out of people to keep it clean (which is fine to some level) but 90 days is way too much. If I were banned 90 days I wouldnt even bother coming back as IdrA. Except for randomly promoting my own stuff and ignoring the rest.
|
also, im sure chill would have banned idra if he sneezed the wrong way. Idra does have the tendancey to flame chill (the combatex series comes to mind)
I always rated TL highly, but this is just very low of liquid, not surprised after tylers arrogant show on SOTG tbh, liquid are always gonna be sour towards EG now (even though EG did NOTHING wrong)
*awaits warn/ban hammer*
User was temp banned for martyring himself.

I'd rather have a small community of intelligent and respectful posters than a massive cesspool of idiots. There are other options than TL, Battle.net forums will always be there.
