- you don't need 2 casters - if you have 2 casters, have them look at the same screen like I did when I casted with scham lol
Obviously MLG was able to get around this by having 2 casters and I dont think they used the casters computers to stream. So i think they just both shared a screen, we can do it too.

the stream observer for MLG was the caster's computer (90% sure) cuz i recall day9 saying he was happy he gets to be in control of the camera at some point during day 3, also the casters were the ones to create the games so it suggests that it was only those two computers that were spectating the game the overlays with picture in picture of the players during the games, the transition to the casters desk and back to the games was production crew behind the scenes working their magic

This is to avoid problems with players using the "Real Friend Join Game" feature and lagging the process of getting games going. I think we have to re-think our observer situation with the MLG maps. We could follow the format of the GSL/Proleagues where the commentator has his own screen, the caster follows a second screen controlled by a third person. The broadcast is off the second screen. The commentator will be responsible for checking supply, production, hidden tech, etc. The caster will be responsible for commenting the battles, as the commentator has to keep an eye on the numbers. This would let us use those maps with only 2 slots of observers. Ive already considered this but theres no way for us to pull it off the streaming computer is the big screen, the casters computers are two gaming computers casters sit at those computers because of feedback problems with the mic theres no way for one of the casters to see observer screen On April 05 2011 03:31 Zeroes wrote: one of the casters watch from the big screen 'casters sit at those computers because of feedback problems with the mic' One of the computers can be set to follow Blasterion's camera. Not quite sure what you mean - if there's only 2 specs, then one is blast and the other has to be the caster. If there's a way to remove the delay in streaming, then that could be a solution. Or have it poke's way - but then whoever is casting and commentating will get so dearly attached to each other :D
[purely assumption] I dont think she read the context of the discussion when she posted that suggestion
smurf did say he got more than 2 spectators on an MLG map before, he couldve been mistaken ill fiddle around with it to see if i can get more than 2 people to watch/spectate at once

Can we stream via casters and rehost stream on the big screen tv?

nah we cant stream on the gaming computers cuz we cant add any streaming software on them, if we could stream via gaming computers we wouldve been set since the first event we streamed lol

so regarding the seeding. will we be seeding the top 16 based on ladder points for season 2?

I would prefer season 1 if it's going to be seeded by ladder score, otherwise it's going to be a mad dash for points in the coming weeks.
|
My vote is with season one, season 2 could be a pain to seed, its just gonna benefit those who are spamming cheese on ladder

Well if your MMR is higher then someone else then you would gain points faster then them anyway

considering a good percentage of people that have a high amount of season 1 points used this method. What difference would it make?
Lets look at EVOboyo for example. He has exactly a 50% winrate with 42 games played and has 424 points this season.
I have like a 69% winrate also with 42 games played and yet I only have 274 points. Its safe to conclude from this that boyo faces harder oponents then I do on ladder and has more points accordingly.
Therefore boyo would seeded higher then me. I don't see how this would be unfair.....
also our custom division on SC2ranks needs to be updated, I'd be more then happy to help with it if I were given access to the necessary information

Yeah but I'm in no hurry to play a ton of ladder games in the coming weeks. Any slow grinder will pass me. Having a job fucking sucks.

Yeah, can we get the password to the league? I want to see the full ranks.

My point is you dont have to play alot. You can ladder casually and still maintain a point lead as long as your winning a respectable amount of games (50%)
If someone improves drastically and manages to grind ahead of you then they probably deserve the higher seed
Besides only the top (X) amount of players are getting seeded, after that it doesnt matter, you might not fall within that threshold to begin with... who knows.
