To paint a picture for the people who haven't been to a SC2 lan party before: it's surreal how everything that goes on relates to Starcraft and nobody has a second thought about talking about their favorite pro-gamers or theorycrafting irl for hours on end. You are your username. (And age/sex/nationality doesn't matter.)

Then match usernames to faces irl. Edit: On second thought, that's a terrible idea. Forgive me, brain isn't working.

Thing is at the same time I just feel weird when someone I met online calls me by my real name, Don't quite know why and I don't mind, I just feel weird. Pretty much If someone I know calls me by my real name, I'll call em by their real name. Problem is no one on the internet can ever say my real name in normal conversation at first so I just tend to go as Reborn at all times. That might explain it.

all tourney participants will have name tags so that lightens the awkwardness of introducing yourself as for going in a circle, theres gonna be 70ppl there, not only will we not fit in a circle, its gonna take years, lol everyone can mingle, and if you want to introduce yourself to everyone then go ahead, but I'm not gonna ask everyone to if you are feeling left out then go talk to someone, there's no reason to feel shy, its an awesome community and you can always talk to me (as long as theres not a crowd of people reporting results to me and as long as I'm not running around checking up on things... well you can try to run along but that might seem awkward ![]() Note: Reborn's name is Yun Suk, cuz he sucks and Reborn is lame

With school and finals and such I havent played starcraft in like 2 weeks. I feel like im gonna suck. not to mention my computer room is colder than outside. so i cant play one game without arthritis pain in my fingers... i wouldnt mind being seeded against pokebunny or zow first round so i can be put down easy. Or maybe I'm just a masochist.

Edit: Starting to get worried that Cybercraft might be super duper crowded with 72 people + spectators... Also, do I need everyone to sign release forms to take stalker-ish photos of them to help me memorize names and faces?

Also, do I need everyone to sign release forms to take stalker-ish photos of them to help me memorize names and faces? first day is gonna be pretty damn crowded, hopefully there is a good number of people that stay at their computers at a time, lol second day will probly die down a bit, but i cant be sure of that we'll see how things go On December 16 2010 02:41 Newborn wrote: This might be a dumb question: Do people bring laptops to putz around on if they get knocked out early, or to stay warmed up between games? Or are we supposed to just use the LAN center's computers between/after our matches? i highly suggest you don't bring your laptop. You will not have access to cybercraft's internet on it. It will also be very crowded, if you leave it on a table or shelf it could easily by knocked down or damaged at the event there will be people not from TL that may be random walk-ins that happen to go to cybercraft, I doubt anyone from the starcraft community will attempt to take it but i cant say the same for those walk-ins There's really no need to bring your laptop but you want to then go ahead

As far as foreign names go Yun Suk is on the bad side of the stupid scale -_-. Edit: Hello my Name is Richard. Please call me Dick. Edit2: ok i gotta get a consensus on this. Got into an arguement with boss. sauerkraut is by far the best condiment ever yes? must be on every hotdog and roastbeef sandwich EVER YES?!?!
